“Is it Churu time? I think it’s Churu time.”
“I mean, it’s ALWAYS Churu time,” thinks Natalie.
Havin’ a think. (Okay, okay… she had just belched and I think we trying to decide if she needed to belch again. I always forget about how gassy pregnant cats can be.)
I was 1000% sure that Monday night/Tuesday morning was going to give us newborn kittens because Natalie didn’t eat her breakfast OR lunch (appetite drop-off before going into labor is… I wouldn’t say it’s COMMON, but it seems to happen in about 50% of the pregnant cats I had – if you search on “signs my pregnant cat is going to go into labor,” lack of appetite is usually at the top of the list.) She was eating some kibble, but the canned food was in the “No thanks” category. She was enthusiastic about her Churu, of course, because no impending labor (OR NOT) is going to stop her love for that stuff. She was also a bit restless, and vomited once. ALL SIGNS OF IMPENDING LABOR.
I checked on her at midnight before I went to bed (she was snoozing on the couch), and then I checked on her at 2 am (she was snoozing in the pie plate), and THEN when I got up at 6:00, she started yelling for me and I was like “IT’s TIME!” It was time, all right. Time for BREAKFAST. She led me to the food plate scolding me the entire way.
So what I’m saying is that I’m on high alert and I expect kittens some time between RIGHT NOW and the 12th of Never.

Time for a snack, or time for a nap? Khal’s all “I could eat!”

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
This Natalie pie (my favorite!) seems a little sassy this morning.
Natalie’s EYES are just stunning!

Natalie’s got a waddle. (In the first part, she’s sitting on that bucket because it’s right next to the desk where she gets her Churu. She had just HAD a Churu, but she always hopes that there might be a surprise second Churu, so she hangs out on that bucket just in case.)
Good night innernets. (Natalie)

Very often it happens when your followers can’t watch for updates (like me who is busy having knee surgery on Friday). XX crossing fingers it’s before Friday or completely after it XX
Hope your surgery goes well!!
Oh, knee surgery is no fun! Hope it goes well. (And I hope also that Natalie can’t sense this comment because you know she’ll hold those kittens in ’til you go under, and then she’ll shoot ’em all out, one after the other!)

Well, the belly in the belching picture looks ready to pop! Awesome!
That belly is really looking so much bigger now. Anytime!!!
Just curious – is it part of the adoption requirements that adopters promise to provide daily Churu for the lifetime of the adoptee?
