I’m off to pick the Dragons – well, the Dragons minus Scorch – in a little while. The house certainly was quiet without their rambunctious selves running around here. All Scorch wanted to do was sleep in a carrier near me, and occasionally come out to complain. Didn’t want snuggling, didn’t want to sit in my lap, didn’t want to eat, didn’t want ANYTHING but to sleep and occasionally complain. He got so mad at me at one point that he stomped off to the front room to yell his woes at Uncle Jake, who ignored him and hoped he’d go away. A minute later, Scorch was grumpily settling back into his carrier.


Ember gives me the Ears of Annoyance.


Puff, blinded by the light.


Ruth is all “WHAT DOON UP HERE, BIG HEAD AND MOUTH?”
(We call Scorch “Mouth” because he’s always got something to say.)


Oh, my Norbies.


He is just the loviest of the love bugs.

Ruth can’t decide whether she wants to be in the sun or not.


She’s pretty sure that she does NOT want Scorch’s butt in her face, though.

Jon Snow’s a shoulder sitter. When he’s done sitting on my shoulder, he climbs down the front of me and demands kisses.


I wish the poor kittens had SOME toys. But they have to go without. It’s good for them! Builds character!

Before we took him off to be neutered, this was Stefan’s favorite place to hang out.

After we had him neutered, he spends more time asleep than anything. When he’s not sleeping he’s cruising the house looking for food or for Dragons to harass.

  1. Oh, that Norbert. Last year’s Maters ‘n’ Taters post is ridiculously cute!

    1. No – he started with diarrhea over the weekend and then Monday was very obviously not feeling well. A trip to the vet didn’t really get us any answers, but this morning he finally started feeling better (and eating), so he’s on the mend!

    1. I really like the idea of putting a toy in a toilet paper roll and closing the ends. I might have to give that one a try!

  9. Oh that Jon Snow – One of our kitties is a flame color point and he is biggest love ever.

  10. Oh, the fun of having a shoulder sitter/snuggler! Our two furgirls are not shoulder sitters, and don’t like to be picked up, which makes hubby sad.

    1. I like when he sits on my shoulder – but it’s the getting up there that gets to me sometimes. I’ve got some serious gouges across my chest. I’m learning to recognize his signals and just set him on my shoulder so he doesn’t have to climb me!

  12. Also, i was just on You Tube looking at my favorites, and the Aslan denied video is not working. I just love that one so much, I can even quote you on it. “That’s right, be casual about it – awwww denied!!” 😀

    1. LOL! I just went to watch it, and it’s still not working! If it still isn’t working in the morning, I’ll re-upload it. What the hell, YouTube?! We’ve got kitten videos to watch!
