Good morning, and say hello to our newest foster, brown tabby and white Natalie!
She’s about a year old, and yes – she’s pregnant.
She showed up on someone’s doorstep, and the person who contacted Forgotten Felines said that he thought she was 3 months old.
The vet said “She’s an adult, and she’s pregnant.”
They said she was about to give birth at any moment and they didn’t want to board her for the weekend, so she spent a few days with another foster.
She is super sweet and she is definitely pregnant, but I think we’ve got some time.
She’s named after Natalie in the Hulu TV show The Bear (which is really good and I recommend.) Her kittens will be named after other characters in the show. I’m not sure what I’ll be calling the litter as a whole yet (The Chefs? The Bears?), so suggestions are welcome.
Fred says she looks like a lemur because of her great big eyes. The girl is 50% eyeball and 50% belly!
Given that she’s brown tabby and white, I pretty much am expecting a litter of the same – I just hope that I’ll be able to tell them apart from each other. We shall see!

Alice hasn’t heard about the new foster and her kittens-to-be. Shhhh, don’t tell her!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Former foster update! Bolt (who, you will recall, joined other former fosters Nala (formerly Kes) and Sarabi (formerly Troi)) is doing well!
Amanda reports: “Bolt has been settling in very well. She’s loving playtime and cuddling. She’s loves jumping on the bed and the couch. Running around at full speed trying to play with the other cats. Sarabi is starting to come around more and not hissing at her. Nala is still taking some time to slowly come around her.”
(Thanks Amanda!)

Say hi to our new foster! Her name is Natalie, she’s about a year old, she’s pregnant, and she’s a talker. She’s named after Natalie in the Hulu TV show The Bear, and her kittens will be named after other characters in the show (Carmy, Sydney, Richie, Tina, Marcus, Neil.) I haven’t a clue what to call the litter as a whole (The Chefs? The Bears?), so suggestions are welcome.
Good night innernets. (Natalie)

1st,they should be called The Chefs as that is the alternate name for everyone. And please please call one the chubbiest one “Fak”. Such a fan favorite. Will be such an amusing kitten. Also perhaps an ode to Mikey by name, or simply call it “Beef”.
I feel like the Faks need their own litter… but it’d have to be a boy-heavy litter (except for Francie, of course.)
Definitely gotta be The Chefs. What a PRETTY girl!!!!!
The Bear Cubs Club. I never saw the show but this is the first thing that popped into my head!
Thank you Amanda,
Glad that we’re having a good entry!
Gasp! Hi Natalie! I keep wanting to type that name as Nathalie, as in Miraculous Ladybug’s Mayura, but that’s my own bias showing and I know it. This kitty is not Nathalie! This kitty does have an adorable creaky screen door meow, though. Yes you, Ms. Tabby Talkerness. You folks seem to have an abundance of sweet brown tabby momkitties by you! As for litter names, all I can think is the Teddy Bears, having never seen the show in question.
You can name them after different species of bears. Panda, Polar, Grizzly, Andean, Cinnamon, Kermode, Kodiak…..
I have a name theme, but I’m saving this list for a future litter!
Robyn had announced this litter’s naming theme will be characters in the Hulu show The Bear. She’s still trying to determine the name of the litter itself. She mentioned The Chefs or The Bears as possibilities.
I like The Chefs since it is a show about chefs in a restaurant.
Natalie is so lovely!! So small though, little thing, glad this is her last time being pregnant. I wonder how close she is to giving birth, she doesn’t look nearly as heavy as your other cat mums when they were close to labour.
Great to see Bolt doing well too!
Definitely The Chefs! And I think Natalie’s ears are as big as her eyes! She a cutie!
The kind of kitchen hierarchy they seem to use on the show is called “brigade style” so the kittens could be The Brigade.
With those big eyes she looks like a tarsier. So cute!
My first thought for a group name is The Cubs (never saw the show). But The Chefs seems fitting also. Additionally, Natalie is my daughter’s name so yay!
Finally, because she is a teen and we recently saw Inside Out, it makes me think of another naming theme: the Emotions=Joy, Melancholy (Mel), Bliss, etc.
Oh, she’s sweet! and all eyes and tummy! So fun to wait and see how long she has.
Thank you for the intro, and all that you do for the mamas!
Perhaps they should be the Sous-chefs.
