In case you missed it, Friday evening…
Skip and Lollygag were adopted! They flew home to Oregon where they are now Skip and Lolly. With all the cyber outages going on (and all the flights being delayed or cancelled), I thought for sure that there was going to be problem, but the flight left on time with no issues at all.
And then on Saturday…
Skitter and Mosey were adopted! They now live in Marietta, Georgia (which is about a 4 hour drive). They’re now Merry (Mosey) and Pippin (Skitter), and you’ll be able to see them on Instagram at @Merry.and.Peregrin.
Today’s post is the rest of the pictures I took while they were with us. Yes, the house IS very quiet, I have NOT had fosters tucked away in the bathroom or in my office, and that foster room is getting all kinds of deep cleaning and rearranging that I couldn’t do with the kittens running around “helping.”
Mosey found a box. (Weruva’s cat food names crack me up – Funk in the Trunk!)
Skitter and Mosey hanging out.
Lollygag’s such a little poser.
It’s a Mosey casserole! (My favorite!)
Lolly says “Lady, don’t tell Uncle Newt I’m using his favorite scratching bowl, okay?”
Skitter (left) and Skip have an intense meeting of the minds over the Churu.
Their little faces just kill me. From left: Skitter, Skip, Mosey and Lollygag.
How cute are Skip and Lolly in their harnesses? (When kittens are going to fly, I put harnesses on them to make it easier for their adopter to get through Security – I figure with a harness, they’ve got something to hang on to. I put the harnesses on the kittens a few times leading up to adoption day so they’re used to wearing them.)
Skip and Lolly pie, with a mousie garnish. (My favorite!)
Skip gives Mosey the ol’ slurrrrp.
Uncle Charlie gets a little too sniffy for Mosey’s liking.
I got this look from Skitter because I stopped petting him to take his picture, and apparently that was not to his liking.
Skitter and Mosey have a tussle.

“It’s so quiet,” says Newt. “JUST LIKE I LIKE IT.”

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) this weekend.
Skip’s helping Uncle Newt eat his breakfast because Skip? Is a HELPER. All heart, that boy.
Line ’em UP! From left: Skitter (who either ran into something or got into a tussle with a sibling right before I took this picture, and I didn’t notice the scuffed-up nose ’til after because I’m observant like that), Mosey (ATTITUDE, young man), Skip (who thinks it’s time for a Churu, and is licking his lips in anticipation), and Lollygag (who is tired of my shenanigans and nonsense).

I walked into the room to find Skip just sitting there with his foot propped behind his head, not a care in the world. I guess it’s safe to say that the boy is flexible.

Lollygag LOVES to play with, carry around, and beat up that toy, so it is definitely going home with her! (It’s a Jellycat Amuseables “Sorry Boiled Egg” that I bought several years ago. It looks like you can’t buy that exact egg anywhere these days, alas, though you can find other versions like a devilled egg, which is hilarious.)
Hooray, hooray, Skip and Lollygag were adopted (together!) and went home last night! They are now residents of… Oregon! (Despite all the flight cancellations and delays that happened yesterday – yes, their Mom flew from Oregon to Nashville to get them! – their flight left and arrived on time) Skip is keeping his name, and Lollygag is going to be Lolly, and we have been promised updates. 🎉Happy lives, sweet babies! ❤️❤️
“LADY. Has it escaped your notice that we are on the Churu desk having a starvation?”

Skip and Lollygag were adopted (together) yesterday, and went home to Oregon! They are now Skip & Lolly, and here they are from birth to adoption.
Skip’s in the green collar (he looks all white, but turned out to be a cream point), Lollygag’s in the red collar (she looked white in the beginning, but ended up a blue lynx point.)
Hooray, hooray, Skitter and Mosey were adopted today! They are headed home to Marietta, Georgia right now – Mosey is now Merry, and Skitter is now Pippin, and they have a big (kitty) sister named Athena. You’ll be able to follow them on Instagram @merry.and.peregrin! Happy life, sweet boys! 🤎🧡

Happy happy birthday to this sweet former foster! This is Periwinkle, who was Tater Tot in 2020 (she was one of the Vittles, a cobbled-together litter of 15 kittens!) She is 4 years old today!
Shelly says: “We can’t believe our girl is 4! Tater Tot, now Periwinkle, is without a doubt the strangest kitty we have ever had. She is spooky, stinky and judgmental, possessing amazing ninja abilities as well as teleportation skills. She does not care to be held or cuddled but will occasionally grace your lap with her presence and purr ferociously for a few minutes until she jumps up and leaves abruptly. She will carry on lengthy conversations with you and is always disappointed at your lack of understanding. Obsessed with hunting, particularly hair ties, she loudly brings her “kills” to you as presents during the night. She is an enigma, but we love her more every day.”
You can see her on Instagram at @sirbrinkleypickles ! (Thanks Shelly!)

Mosey and Skitter were adopted yesterday and went home to Marietta, Georgia, where they will have an older kitty sister, Athena. Mosey is now Merry and Skitter is Pippin, and you will be able to see them on Instagram at @merry.and.peregrin.
Here they are from birth to adoption; Skitter’s the one in the purple collar (who looks all white in the beginning, but has turned out to be a cream point), and Mosey is the one who starts out looking kind of beige and gets darker as time goes on (a seal or chocolate point), with the longer fur.
Look at those sweet faces! Skip and Lolly are settling in well, acting like kittens do (they’re being HELPFUL) and having a lot of play/tussle/nap time!
(Thanks Keri!)
Good night innernets. (Permanent resident Khal aka Floomp.)

Kittens looking so smart in their harnesses. And omg look at the state of Periwinkle, what a beautiful weirdo! I love the sound of her character.
What companies make the kitty harnesses. I’m interested in getting one for my 3 year old 12 lbs. tuxedo named Ms.Kitty. We live in Loxley,Alabama and sometimes evacuate during hurricanes and want her to be safe when having to relocate and travel. Thanks!
They’re sold by FIDA on Amazon – here’s the link to where I bought them.
Seeing all the adoptions makes me think of the Arizona Cardsharks. Have you had any news from them? They posted all the time and now there hasn’t been anything in several months. Just concerned. Thanks.
I haven’t had any news from them recently, but they tend to go a while between posting, and then post a bunch at once. They stay pretty busy.
Not that all kittens are not beautiful but this crew was especially perfect !
Yaaaaaay for all the adoptions, not to mention the avoidance of the tech SNAFU! <3 I don't know how Skitter's people are going to hear over all the purr purr PURRRRRRing! It's an excellent issue to have.
Okay, cat crew, I have a question for the house. Have you ever met a cat who steals lettuce leaves out o the salad bowl and eats them? I don’t mind – I know cats chew on grass, so I expect this is the same urge – but I’ve never seen that before. This particular cat is a purrsonality and a half, so her being a weirdo is nothing new, but this is a new behavior. Thoughts?
Oh yes, for sure. My last cat was actually called ‘Lettuce’, and he ate everything. Lettuce, onions, pickles, anything. He was constantly hungry, and no food could be left out. So funnily enough, what you’re describing feels pretty normal according to my cat experience lol!
