I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news to start off the week, but Saturday afternoon our dear sweet Anne passed away. She’d had a good morning, eating and snuggling and even swiping at a passing kitten in a playful way, but when she crashed, she crashed hard and there was no bringing her back. When she left us, she was safe and warm and loved, and sometimes that’s the most we can hope for. (These pictures don’t show just how thin she was – she was literally less than half the weight she should have been, she was truly skin and bones. I believe she went without for too long, and her body just couldn’t hold out.)
Today’s post will be include the pictures I took of her, because she was absolutely the cutest, and I want y’all to see that during her short time here with us, she was pretty happy.
A good little eater, is what she was.
She loved to curl up in my lap with Rochefort and Constance.
Snuggled up with Constance in the Cuties box.
A post-bath snuggle with Winter, who didn’t seem to mind.
She found a puddle of kittens and snuggled right in. Such a sweet bunch of kittens.

Headed off for their spay and neuter surgeries today, are these two muffinheads.
Clyde’s enjoying that peach basket.
It’s the perfect size for him!
Cutey saw me outside, watering the catnip, and wanted to know what was going on.
Uncle Archie finds the kittens intriguing. I’ve actually seen him playing with them – especially Cutey – in the mornings. I haven’t been able to get a good picture or video, but you’ll have to trust me: it’s VERY cute.

Sweet little Annie. I’m so glad she got to spend time with you and her siblings from another mother. Little soul came for a tough lesson, next time she can come and stay for the love. Blessed be, little one xoxo
Poor Anne! She reminds me so much of Mercury´s three kittens (Kepler, Skylab, and Sigma) that also did not make it. Bless Alexandra, D’Artagnan, Porthos, Athos, Aramis, Winter, Constance, and Rochefort. Does Rochefort miss his little friend? I think that Anne is playing in kitty heaven right now…
He doesn’t seem to be missing her, though of course it’s hard to tell.
She had the little angel wings in her back already… Fly free at The Bridge baby Anne!
RIP sweet girl Annie.
She was a little angel kitty, complete with wings. Thank you to you and the others in your rescue for showing her love in her brief time.
Angel Anne knew love, warmth, a full tummy and friends in her final days on Earth. That counts for everything. Bless you, Robyn and Fred, and those who brought her to you for care.
So sorry about Anne. Tiny kittens are soooo fragile, it’s a wonder any ever make it out in the wild — or on the mean streets of cities. Precious Anne felt the comfort of kindness before her departure, and some never do.
I had fallen in love with Anne over all the others (dear little ones, all). Bless her heart, and bless you for taking such good care of her.
Sweet angel kitten Anne. Thank you for making sure she knew she was loved. ❤️
So happy she lots of cuddles and food…
I’m so sorry. It’s so hard to lose a baby.
So sorry to hear that, you did a great job and made her last days full of hugs and company and comfort. Sending comforting thoughts. The rest of the kittens and cats are looking happy and healthy, and adorable as ever 😀
I’m so sorry you lost Anne. But yes, she came prepared with her angel wings. I know she was happy with you and the other kittens, and of course sweet Alexandra. Thank you for sharing her with us for her short stay; now she’s safe and happy forever, flying around the fields by the bridge with all the other kittens!
Oh, so very cute and dear. It must be so hard to lose her. You do wonderful loving work.
Oh no, I’m so sorry! This is such a shame. 🙁 Poor sweet little angel kitten Anne. She was absolutely loved, warm, happy and well-fed during the time she was with you and Alexandra’s litter, which makes all the difference. … Oh, jeez. Poor baby. Two days and I was already in love.
Oh Robyn… I am so very sorry for your loss…
It sucks, so sorry you have to go thru these things. She had the best chance with you, you just got her too late. And now another new one! Glad to make these journeys with you, Robyn, take care and thanks!
