In case you missed it, there was a post up on Saturday allll about Dennis.
The thing about Dennis that I forgot to tell: when Fred picks Dennis up to pet him, very often Dennis will struggle to get down. When Fred puts him down, Dennis immediately rolls over onto his back and waits for his belly rub. SO. FREAKIN’. CUTE.

Gilbert, on what I’ve come to call the “num-num blanket.” When I go upstairs after lunch, all the kittens jump up onto the bed and wait for me to put that blanket on the bed, then they climb onto it, knead vigorously, and lick it. No one kneads or licks more vigorously than that silly Gilbert.
Dear lord, he is so cute, but such a clueless little boycat. I have a pad in front of the cabinet in the computer room that emits a very loud ear-piercing beep if you step on it. Yesterday, Blaster stepped on it. And then he sat there, all “What is that noise? I sure wish it would stop.” Finally, he stepped off the pad, and the noise stopped. Then he stepped ON it again, and again with the confusion. It probably happened a total of five times before I shooed him away; he probably never would have figured it out on his own. He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he’s prettyyyy.
Marshall, kneadin’ and slurpin’.
And awake-and-yawning Marshall.

So I bought a DSLR over the weekend (I was working with a wedding photographer and my job was to chase small children in suits and dresses) and now I want to play wif my toyyyyyyyyy. Thinking kittens might be a good subject … now I just need a few to chase.
The more kittens, the better!
Blaster says: don’t need to be smart if you have the cute (there is one in every family I swear)
Man….if I lived closer – ROAD TRIP to the cat show!
π Your story of Dennis sounds sort of familiar. My Oreo will let you pick her up and pet her BUT if you sit down with her after that she will squirm to get away. She LOVES the belly rubs and will rub against you in all types of ways as well. She has grown up a lot since the snuggle-on-my-chest-when-she- was-young days.
Sometimes I think cats just ignore noise. Tuxie will get on my glass top stove and just stand on one of the control pad keys making it beep until I come shoo him off! The noise doesn’t bother him one bit! Once Tuxie (or Sabrina – she also ignores the beeps) started the self-cleaning cycle on the stove by standing on just the right combination of keys and that near disaster taught me to always lock the controls. It will still beep, but thankfully nothing will turn on!! π
That is hilarious! Hey, they were just trying to help! π
Maybe he thought the oven was a butt warming device.
Haha, that picture of Mooch lounging around like it ain’t no thang is hilarious! It makes me want to dive face-first into that adorable belleh and snorgle it until I’m blue in the face. So cute!
You know that you just have to get a video of them nomming on the blanket, don’t you? π
Well, of course!
Oh, the Mooch!
“He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but heβs prettyyyy”. Is this a nod to the Real Housewives of New York?
It certainly is π
Sweet snuggly Mooch. What a glamour shot.. it should be on a calender..
Maybe you have Blaster all wrong and he is just trying to replicate the results of his tests. He is a serious scientist and trying to work out the secrets of the universe.
