We have an update on Pika, the kitten formerly known as Pita!
Lucy says: Pika has been with us for a week now and she is doing very well! She had no problem making herself at home the moment she walked in. It took her brother and sister a moment to warm up to her, but she remained unphased and kept approaching them with her sweet meows. The three of them love running up and down our very long hallway and it is beyond entertaining! She really is the perfect addition to our family. She’s fun, spunky, adorable, hilarious, and sooooo cuddly. We love her so much!
I did make a Facebook page for her called “A girl named Pika” if anyone wants to keep with her 🙂
Are we surprised that Pika settled in in no time flat? We are NOT!
(Thank you so much for the update, Lucy!)

And that Skip again, with added Dillydally. (Not sure what I was doing that was so fascinating, but it certainly had their attention!)
I think Bolt just wants a nap.
I love how I managed to catch Skip mid-launch.
Dillydally wants to know what’s going on.
Meander is continuing to enjoy life in the dining room and has ZERO desire to go back in with her kittens.
She really loves the top of this little cat tree – I put the window bed there in case she preferred to hang out in it, but she’s made it clear that the cat tree is much more comfy.
We did let her roam the downstairs for a couple of days, but Charlie ALWAYS TAKES THINGS TOO FAR. I don’t know if he was trying to play, or trying to show dominance, but he jumped on her and scared her, so I’m keeping her in the dining room most of the time now unless one of us is right there to supervise. Fred takes Rocco in to visit her occasionally and I’ve taken Khal in to see her, and she is SO good with them – but Rocco just wants to eat her food and Khal is pretty sure he has enough friends, so they don’t stay in there long.
That picture is from a few days ago – as of yesterday morning her milk was mostly dried up (it usually takes about two weeks for milk to dry up completely).

Newt is enjoying the scorching days of summer from the comfort of the bed, under the air conditioning. (I don’t think he’s actually been outside in days!)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) this weekend.
Skip and Lollygag are having a hard time getting going this morning.

Dillydally is a track toy aficionado… and everyone but Bolt is being crazyyyy this morning. (Bolt would like them to keep it down over there.)
Bolt looks very comfy, doesn’t she? Toes up!

Mosey, Bolt and Skitter have a sleepy. (If you listen closely, you might hear a bit of Mosey purring!)
Looks like we’ve got a lights-on, no-one-home situation going on here with Dillydally.
Good night innernets. (Bolt, Skitter, Skip and Mosey)
Skitter has a Moment of Flail while Skip puts the ol’ chomperoo on Bolt. I feel certain it’s going to be a high-energy day in the kitten room.

Bolt is feeling very kneady, and is JUST. SO. CUTE. (Her face at the end kills me. “I AM really cute, aren’t I?!”)
It’s Mosey on the Fancy Soft with his perfectly crossed paws. Such excellent manners!

Is Mosey Da BAYbee? Looks like yes!
Good night innernets. (Bolt, Dillydally and Skitter)
If I had to, I’m pretty sure I can tell these two apart (Skitter, left, and Skip), but I’m still not taking off their collars. Just to be safe!

They’ll park that food truck anywhere. (I was cleaning the foster room, so put the food truck up on the window seat to get it out of the way. Skip went in almost immediately and stayed there ’til the cleaning was done. He was like “I ain’t coming out there, there’s a VACUUM CLEANER out there. You can’t keep me safe!”)
Yep, there’s a feather teaser up there. From left: Lollygag, Skip (back), Bolt (center), Skitter (front), Dillydally (ornj) and Mosey.

Another da BAYbee heard from. (Bolt)
Good night innernets. (Lollygag & Skip)

2005: For the most part Mister Boogers left the kittens alone, though Oy kept going over and sniffing at him, and he could hardly stand it, and he would growl and raise his paw to smack that kitten across the room, but then I would say “Mis. Ter. Boog. Ers.” in my Mean Lady voice, and he’d put his paw back down and walk away.
Aaawwww Meander, tell her we love her lots and she deserves the luxury beds after working so hard raising her fabulous brood.
