None of the Royals were adopted over the weekend (I KNOW!!!!). Hmph. HMPH, I SAY.
Here are the last of the Royals pictures, and a video, too!
Something about him just makes everyone want to take care of him, I guess.
“SOMEONE gotta help him stay clean!”
If one of his siblings wouldn’t let him snuggle up, he’d go for a permanent resident. Here he is with the ever-patient Tommy.
You can’t actually see them all, I don’t think, but all five of the Royals were on the beds on and near my desk. To the right of my monitor was Jareth, and next to him, Charming. Sooner or later, all kittens end up on my desk.
And the video. Aslan is totally the baby. (If I haven’t mentioned it before, and you haven’t noticed it, I like to mock the kittens by saying “Wahhhh! I’m da BAYBEE!”, because I’m mean like that.)

I walked into the Dragons’ room the other day and four kittens and Khaleesi ran over to greet me. I had to think for a moment before I figured out who was missing. Puff was nowhere to be seen. He wasn’t in the litter box, he wasn’t by the food. Where WAS he?
I finally found him.
“What? Just hangin’ in my condo.”
Puff and the Long-Legged Cheetah (actually a dog toy, but the kittens LOVE it and drag it all over the place.)
The look of surprise on Puff’s face is cracking me up.
“What? What you want? You go ‘way, lady. I gots stuff to do.”
“I KEEL YOU.”
“Did a gnat land on me?”
“Lady, please. I SAID NO PICTURES.”

Newt, lookin’ smug. He’s no fool, he prefers to spend his days inside with the air conditioning and ceiling fans!

Puff in the teacup is the cutest thing I’ve seen today! (I know, the day is young, but I have an adorable and sweet 7-month-old daughter, so that’s saying something!)
How did those Royals NOT get themselves adopted?!? I want them all.
Can’t believe Leia wasn’t snapped up by somebody. Aslan has such a unique pattern, surprised he wasn’t adopted. It’s kitten season though, and people are giving them away everywhere. Here’s hoping the Royals find forever homes soon!
“Did a gnat land on me?” BWAH-HAHAHAHAA!
I want *that* cup of tea!
Ps. This made me think of you: http://themetapicture.com/happy-birthday-crazy-cat-lady/
Fingers and paws crossed the Royals get adopted this week!! Come on Royals!!!
Take care
x
OH… MY…. GOD…. Puffles in the teacup is the cutest thing EVAR! He’s pretty much my favorite anyway, but holy smokes that’s too freakin’ cute!
They are all so sweet and I hope the Royals get adopted soon. If I wasn’t already over the maximum non-crazy cat lady limit (which I think is 3) by about 8, I would be hopping in a car and driving down there to bring Buttercup and Charming home with me. I absolutely adore the tuxies.
Me too Michelle – Partial to tuxie black and white kitties too. My first ever kitty was a black and white tuxie! I would have loved to give them two a home too. UK here though π
Me three. My first cat was also a tuxie, and she was just the greatest cat ever. I’m always looking for one that looks like her. Fortunately, neither Charming or Buttercup fit the bill exactly, so I’m not in a turmoil about whether to jump in the car and drive the hundreds of miles down to Alabama to snatch them up.
I so do that – you walk in the room, count heads and then have this “wait who is missing?” moment. π LOVE the teacup. And you were so being dissed by Aslan.
We are in dire need of more Norbert pictures — I love him to bits, and the floof just steals the spotlight! I’ve noticed at my rescue that there is a bit of a lag leading up to 4th of July because families go away, and they are waiting to get back before adopting a kitten. They might be all gone by July 11!
Oh Aslan, mewing like a baby then falling asleep like one!
Out of curiosity, how often do you have to deal with “presents” (in the form of dead varmints or birds) from the outside cats? Do they bring them to you at your doorstep or mercifully keep them away from the house?
Matthew, what an appropriately timed question! I got back from the grocery store to find a teeny tiny organ (a lung, I think) on the side stoop. Maxi and Newt have learned that presents are not required, but Stefan hasn’t gotten the hint yet. I’ve found mice and moles on the side stoop 2-3 times a week for the past few weeks.
Stefan’s just trying to earn his keep. He got those scars somehow and needs to know he’s still got mad skillz!
I love talky cats!
Those Royals are too adorable for words. Don’t understand why they’re not snatched up immediately.
I demand more Norbert!!
I NEED more kittens.
Now that’s my cup of tea!
Question, why does Jareth appear to have a shaved spot on his tummy?
Because he has a shaved spot on his tummy. π They shave a small spot on the boys’ tummies so they can put a small tattoo to indicate that they’ve been neutered.
I knew they did that on the girls, didn’t think it would be needed on the boys! Learn something new every day!
Um, it’s always been immediately obvious to me when a boy cat has been neutered. It’s a little bit clearer than looking for a tattoo. π Just imagining a kitty’s response to that: “How fresh!”
Re the lack of adoptions: I’m taking the “whoever had the audacity to violate the Royals’ airspace and then not take anyone home didn’t deserve these monarchs” approach. Harrumph! On the adult front, buff boys Stefan and Newt are both so hunky — and worldly wise-looking. Hope George and Gracie are surviving the heat. As for Puff & Co., they all have a serious case of kitten-charisma overload.
Ahh, so good to be back to kitty pics after a refreshing vacation. I agree that the Royals probably weren’t scooped up because other potential adopters were also on vacation. Speaking of adoption, there was an adorably scruffy stray black cat that was being cared for by the inn we stayed at. Clearly though it had been abandoned by someone or lost because I was told not to pick it up as it was a stray. However, one night it climbed up and snuggled in my lap while I was sitting on the porch. If it wasn’t for the 6 hr drive I might have ended up with another cat in my home. By the way, I’ll take another cuppa Puff please.
OMG. Puff, you are too much. That cup. <3
OMG. Puff, you are too much. That cup. <3
Newt is so dreamy! What a guy… *sigh*
Oh, those kittens…
Puff in a cup! So adorable! I wonder how long he’ll continue to fit in there?? Also, that Stefan is no dummy – he’s earning his keep! Good boy!
