Rufous is all “This couch is very comfy and perfect for a nap with my favorite human!”
I moved the crate into the foster room when I moved the kittens, because they – especially Starling – had been occasionally napping in it recently. Except for Wren using it as a cat tree, none of the kittens have been near it since I moved them. I guess there’s too much other cool stuff to check out.
TaterPlover shows off the fact that she is ridiculously cute.
Rufous, in the process of jumping up into my lap while Wren looks on.
Starling checks out the Fruittasan.
“I don’t get it.” She can’t quite seem to grasp the concept of lifting her back legs into the Fruittasan – yet – but she’s working on it!
Tater thinks this triple-level track toy is AWESOME.
The kittens are having a really good time in the foster room, and really enjoying the fact that I can go into the room and lie down on the couch so they can climb all over me (I am enjoying it too!)

I am truly not sure why this milk-carton scratcher box/bed is so popular among the permanent residents, but there’s always someone (usually Newt or Khal) in it. (It is a “You & Me Milk Carton Cardboard Scratcher”, which I got on Amazon in 2018, but doesn’t appear to be available any more. Too bad, ’cause it’s cute!)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
It was not Rufous’s week to possess the single brain cell that all orange tabbies time-share, and he kept getting in the CatLadyBox box, knocking the top closed, and couldn’t figure out how to get out. So I got out a sharp knife and made him a hole. Problem solved!
We have an update on Opal (formerly Myrtle) and Ruby (formerly Zelda), who were adopted and went home to Illinois over the weekend!
Maureen said: Opal and Ruby are settling in very nicely. They are eating well and getting accustomed to their cat room. I haven’t had them venture out into the rest of the house as they don’t seem to understand just how nice, Boo, my dog, really is quite yet; he’s rather sad about that, but is patient. Opal is a bit more open to pets and snuggles, but Ruby is coming along nicely…just a bit more cautious, and I’m respecting her boundaries. Attached is a picture I took today of the girls enjoying a few minutes of quiet before romping about and playing again😻😻
Thanks, Maureen!

Did you know that Wren is a talker? True story!
Good night innernets. (Rufous, who will sleep like an angel in his basket o’ toys.)

I was wondering where u got the blanket with the daisies all of it?
It was a gift – it’s a Vera Bradley blanket, and the pattern is “Prairie Paisley Daisy Pink.” It looks like they have them on Amazon.
Oh, those Nestlings! MizRobyn, you have topped yourself!
