Last fall, we fostered 15 kittens known collectively as The Vittles (if you were around, you definitely remember!) including this little bobtailed cutie pie, Tater Tot!
Annnnnd… here she is today!
Tater Tot, now known as Periwinkle, has been a part of our family for just over six months now. She is a very unique girl, quite independent, not particularly snuggly and she must clean herself immediately after someone touches her, even if she’s the one who initiated contact. It isn’t unusual for her to be nowhere in sight, yet when you go to a different room, she’s already there as if she’s been expecting you. Peri is always lurking, waiting, usually with much to say. She is VERY vocal and seems disappointed we are too dim to understand her. A mighty hunter who loves to bring us her “catches”, she plays most often by herself, though she and feline brother, Buzz, love to play racetrack at bedtime. She has come to understand the ginormous floofy dog won’t hurt her and has begun to boss him around a little.
We were smitten with Tater Tot from her very first Love and Hisses picture and instantly felt she was the one for us. Turns out we were right. We adore her and don’t know what we ever did without her.
You can see Periwinkle, her brother Buzz and the ginormous floofy dog in question on Instagram, here! (Thanks, Shelly!)

Jake’s getting hiiiiiigh. (And yes, that pot of catnip will be going with us. I’m also going to try planting catnip in the ground and see if I have better luck with that in a sunnier back yard.)
Jake and Charlie are giving me the eyes of “You weren’t invited to this meeting, lady.”
