Phase 1 of packing is done!
It’s a lot more than it looks like – there are two rows of boxes there. This is all the stuff we can go without for the next few weeks – I’ll pack the rest of the house in the 4-5 days leading up to the actual move. For now we clean and do some touch up painting and all the odd jobs we’ve been putting off.

Back in 2012, when we still lived at Crooked Acres, the neighbor from a few doors down knocked on the door. Her daughter had saved this tiny kitten from a dog down the road, and was there any way we could take him? We did.
We named him Cicero (we were fostering the Taters litter at that point, kittens named after types of potatoes).
Fred nicknamed him Stompers pretty quickly, and we never called him anything else. Well, I mean, we called him “Stompies,” but that’s a nickname for a nickname.
This is what he looked like back then.
And THIS is what he looks like now, 9 years later!
Kristyn reports: Here he is today! Just as silly and loving as ever. He can usually be found snuggling with whoever will sit still long enough to let him groom them or modeling his gorgeous face for his admirers.
He still has that same sweet Stompers face. I LOVE IT. (Thank you so much, Kristyn!)

Oh, that Khal. He is such a floompy boy.
Keeping an eye out for squirrels and birds.

It’s in the Bible!

Ahhhh STOMPERS!!!! Oh my gosh I’d recognize that face anywhere even after 9 years! What a handsome happy boy. But is he still judging us in that second to last picture?? 😀
Thank you for the pictures Kristyn!
I remember Stompers; can’t believe it has been NINE years! That face hasn’t changed, so distinctive. And he has a great family, living his best life. Love the updates, thanks!
That looks like a whole lotta packing! But ya’ll are making progress. Hang in there.
Stompers!!! Look at him all grown up (9 years old??!), all handsome and posing like a boss!
It does my heart glad to see boxes so nicely stacked, lol.
Yay, a StompDate! I can’t believe he is 9. I’m happy to see how well he’s doing.
Stompers! He’s the kitty that convinced me that I need an ornj boy. Don’t have one yet, but someday I will. And, like everyone says, he still has that same adorable face!
I also can’t believe Stompers is 9 already! Thank you for the update Kristyn.
Also, congrats on the packing Robyn/Fred, I imagine it’s a task but one that will be duly rewarded. The real question is however-how many boxes will remain unpacked after the move and will this be your LAST move?
and will this be your LAST move?
I wouldn’t tempt fate by answering that question, were I Robyn, lol! After all, the Universe has a way of making us all eat the word _never_, and who can say when it might become necessary? Who knows what the future holds?
I love the mutual admiration society/cuddling going on with Stompers.
He obviously loves his boys and vice versa
Awww, I love Stompers’ updates! That boy will forever be in my memory, along with Tony Rocky Horror Pickle!
Said it on facebook, and I’ll say it again. I did not know kitties could have baby faces! Stompers has a baby face! Just as cute now as he was as a bitty baby kitten!
Khal is absolutely gorgeous, what a fluffalicious guy he is!
I can’t believe it has been 9 years.
I am SO HAPPY to see Stompers!! He was just the cutest thing, and still is.
Stommmmmperrrrrrrrrs!! He of the “Inspector Stompers…not judging you”…so happy to see him doing well and in a happy home 🙂 🙂 🙂
Stompers! He does have that same determined face! Squee! I can’t believe he’s 9! He definitely knows that he’s an internet star from the gorgeous look on his face.
I used my “Not Judging You” mug today!!!
