The amount of time I’ve spent trying to get Daisy to look at me at the same time as her kittens – I swear, it’s been hours and HOURS.
And there goes Jay after the feather teaser, of course.
Jay talking to the feather teaser.
Another shot where Daisy wouldn’t look at me. Hmph.
Well, I mean, that works, right? They weren’t ACTUALLY looking at me, they were looking at the ceiling fan, but good enough!
The kittens are off this morning for their spay/neuter surgeries. They’ll also be tested, micro-chipped, and get their rabies shots, so it’s a big day! I expect everything to go well, and we’ll likely be home again in no time.
I believe Zelda and Myrtle will be headed home (they are being adopted together) next weekend. Hopefully adopters for Nick, Jay and Daisy will show up soon, too. A girl can hope, right?

Plovetater and Wren are considering a nap.
Rufous and Wren admire Starling’s climbing skills.
Plovetater, Wren and Rufous really like that little blue cat tree. But where’s Starling?
Keepin’ comfy on the other side of the room.

An old shot of Dewey so y’all don’t forget what a pretty boy he is.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) this weekend.
Good morning sunshine. (Myrtle)
Rufous checks to see if I’m perchance holding a bottle.

Napping with Zelda & Daisy seems to involve less actual napping than I’d hoped for. (Not that I’m complaining – Zelda’s an awfully cute napping companion, like her mama.)
Line ’em up! (Left to right: Myrtle, Nick, Zelda & Jay. I tried to get Daisy to join them, but she was not having it.)

Plover (more commonly known as Tater due to her potato-shaped physique) has found her skitter.
It’s a Wren pie! (My favorite!)
Good night innernets. (Zelda and Myrtle)
This is how I have to weigh Plovetato and Starling, in this Laffy Taffy container on top of the scale (note: There is no lid on the container). The scale is so touchy and these kittens move around SO FREAKING MUCH that I have to stuff them in a container so they’ll stay still long enough that I can get their weight.
I was trying to get a family picture but Daisy WOULD NOT look up at me. So I was wildly waving the feather teaser around and all of a sudden HERE’S JAY.

Some of these kittens are better napping companions than others. Is all I’m sayin’. (Okay, Jay would be a good napping companion if he were sleepy. But he’s NOT.)
A Rufous/Wren pie! (My favorite!)

Rufous and Tater at the track toy, with commentary (and purring) by Starling.
Oh, that Nick. He is SUCH a sweet boy!
These kittens are 12 weeks old! This is what they look like now – and you can check out their weight chart here. They’re going for their spay/neuter surgeries TOMORROW (shhh, don’t tell them!) Nick and Jay are still available for adoption (as is Daisy), and Myrtle & Zelda are adoption pending (together.)
In case you thought Jay was the only leaper in this bunch, Myrtle would like you to know that she, too, can get her bounce on.

I brought the small blue cat tree down from the foster room so that the Nestlings (who are still in the dining room at the moment) can have more room to climb. They really like it – except when Tater gives me a heart attack by nearly falling. (That gasp I do when she starts to fall? Fred haaaates that gasp because it scares him. IT’S NOT LIKE I DO IT ON PURPOSE.)
We have a Fightin’ Tater-Rufous pie in the foreground (my favorite!) and Wren and Starling in the background, proving that the old saying “No one pees alone” still holds true.

Today the Catsby kittens are being WILD and wearing their crazy pants.

I clipped out the collision between Myrtle and Zelda (in the video I posted earlier) and slowed it wayyy down. That was quite a flip! (Both kittens were perfectly fine, since kittens are made of rubber and filled with marshmallow fluff.)
Nick and Jay have a nap. (They are still available for adoption – email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.)
Good night innernets. (Rufous)

What a great kitten collision – and it looked to me like they both turned to say “we hope you did NOT ‘get that.'” All the videos are really good today – Plover’s skitters were adorable – I was so happy to see her find her catness after such a rough start. Your care has brought the Nestlings a looooong way, MizRobyn!
I love a skittering Potato!! ROFL!
Starling’s creaky little squeakity mew! And all the purring! <3 The Nestlings are going to be lovebug people kitties, I just know it.
That collision — amazing! And they’re both like nothing happened! And I just love Tater and Rufous….no! I don’t need two kittens!!
