As mentioned yesterday, the kittens are now TWELVE WEEKS OLD. Here they are on the day they were born and at 4, 8, and 12 weeks.
So grown up!
And 12 weeks old! (Yes, they still nurse, but for very short periods of time.)
I weighed the kittens yesterday – you can see the weight chart at the bottom of their page – and the combined weight of the kittens is now 17 1/2 pounds. That’s more than double Caroline’s weight, and a few pounds more than Charles weighs!

Laura patiently waits her turn while Willie lolls about in the basket.
Same basket with a lot more cat in it.

Jake’s keeping an eye on the catnip.
Eventually – hopefully – that whole small garden bed will be filled with catnip. Last summer I took some cuttings from the potted catnip we brought with us from Crooked Acres and planted it alongside some catnip plants I’d bought at Lowe’s. Only the catnip rooted from the Crooked Acres plant survived the winter. I don’t remember where that catnip came from, but it’s apparently a hearty strain!

do you think you could tell them apart without their collars now?
Jake always has the right priorities!
Love the pictures of the kittens with Pa!
That picture of Laura and her Pa!!! Love, love, love.
Aw, Charles is such a good Pa! Look at him with his Half Pints…
Although they are all just so cute and cuddly, I’ve got to say – 4-week old Half Pints are just delicious.
Laura looks thrilled.
And the 12 week old milk bar is a riot
Question: Have you noticed that one kitten over the others is closer to Pa and/or Ma, or are they equally as affectionate towards them? Now that you have the actual Pa cohabitating, I’m curious.
