I know it’s been a few weeks since there’s been a Crooked Acres Wednesday, but the weather has been so nasty lately that I can’t bring myself to go out there and slog around in the mud and take pictures. If it EVER stops with this gray, overcast, rainy ridiculousness and dries up a little, maybe I can get out there and get some decent pictures. ‘Til then, you’ll have to be happy with kitten pictures. I know, it’s a hardship, right?

Paula mentioned this the other day in the comments – check out the SIZE of Puff’s head. That is something special, right there. The better to produce fire with, I suppose.
I guess you can only hold that giant head up for so long before you have to collapse onto a heap o’ napping siblings.

Aww Sheriff Mama can nap on my dryer anytime. Does she like snuggles? Mama looks SO FLUFFY! (And grumpy, but she’s got a tough job!)
She likes to be petted a lot, but isn’t usually a snuggler.
Kara-you go on and sleep. Ain’t no one else gonna be out in the miserable rain. Let the ducks look after the yard for a day and tell ’em to quack once for “things are fine” and two times “for trouble”.
Once Kara realizes there are not one, but two sets of kittens in the house, she’ll be back outside on patrol!! Sheriff Mama ain’t got no time for that! 😉

Jareth’s video is a hoot. One of my 3-year-old furgirls goes almost that silly when I pull out ‘mousie’, a wand toy made by the same company that makes Da Bird. I have to hide mousie’ during the day. When I announce ‘mousie time’, she and her sister charge the closet for mousiest.
Great to see that effortlessly handsome Jareth has his stop, drop, and roll down pat. And Aslan, fine job on exercising your brains and avoiding eating those of others. And I hope the first dragons vid is in the offing.
It’ll be up tomorrow! It’s a lot less active than the Royal kittens videos, as you can imagine. 🙂

I really can not think of a better way to start the day. Come to Love & Hisses and you are guaranteed to get fluffy silly kittens. Attentive and loving Mama cats. Squirming bitty kitty cuddle puddles. The kittens will always put a smile on your face or a little giggle will escape your lips. Maybe you will even chuckle and snort 🙂 You will definitely swoon and squee with delight. All the cats are sweet and captivating and you will long to see their faces and you be glad you stopped for a visit. Some cats will cast you in their spell and you will be unable to turn away from their irresistible charm (yes I am talking about you Corbie!) If cats are not your obsession (why I could not even begin to understand), there are two happy go lucky dogs who will smile for treats, and chickens and ducks round out the bountiful array of beautiful beasts.
I am very glad to be part of this wonderful world of Crooked Acres !!!

He has stripes on his legs and tail – I’m not sure if that’s enough to make him a tabby, though!
Scorch IS a very handsome guy. A drama queen and buff and an adorable name like Scorch? I don’t think he could get any better. Prince Charming’s floof and beautiful eyes are killing me too. Sorry it is nasty there. Hope it clears up soon!

Watching Jareth made me wonder if you have ever dropped a ping pong ball on the floor (works best on hard flooring) with a gang of kittens around? Our cats love it. We only let them have one when we are there to supervise because big cats can puncture the thin plastic and tear it up. Also, had a dog join in the play once….she crushed the ball and tried to eat it. Got to her in time to grab it out of her mouth but we learned our lesson! 🙂
I certainly have – it’s a big hit with some litters of kittens, but not these guys. They seem to prefer either the mylar balls or the plastic balls that jingle when they roll. 🙂
(Which is not to say that they won’t chase a ping pong ball that suddenly bounces across the floor from out of nowhere – it’s certainly a hit, especially when they’re in tails-on-fire mode!)
I love how Aslan looks to be sucking on the back of his little tooth to remove a bit of stuck brain. No wonder he goes “er, gross!” And Khaleesi that’s right, you forget how many you push out once it’s more than three. Relax, all the little dragons are yours 😉
