Pita and the post-Churu thlurrrp.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Grumpy babies. (Skitter, Dillydally, Bolt and Lollygag)
It IS Thlurrrpsday, so Dillydally gets her thlurrrp on.
Bolt says “You’re ding dang right I pushed Mister Frog off the chair, and I’d do it again!”
Climbing the couch, hanging out under the blanket – they’re right on track for their age! (Skip and Lollygag on the arm of the couch, Dillydally under the blanket.)
“You want a piece o’ me?” (Mosey)
Pita extends the Paw of Friendship (or more likely, the Paw of the ol’ Slapperoo), and Skip says “No thank you.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
They don’t really interact, but Pita and Carson hang out together occasionally.
Carson sniffs the catnip, and Pita looks on judgementally.

I’m sorry to report that Tala’s sweet little black kitten, Sterling, passed away last night. I moved them from the spot behind the toilet back to the crate yesterday morning because it just drove me crazy to see them sprawled out there. I felt like Sterling was a bit off, but couldn’t quite put my finger on it. When I checked on them shortly before midnight, he had passed.
Lira and Franc are doing well, so I’m not worried about them.

Charlie’s enjoying the sunshine.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
I’d say that Pita is helping Uncle Newt with his breakfast, but that’s actually HER breakfast and Uncle Newt is the helper here.
Skitter, Bolt and Lollygag are all “You rang?”

Skip has discovered Mama’s tail, and thinks it’s the best toy EVER. (Wait ’til he discovers his OWN tail!)
Tala might LOOK like she’s protecting her kittens here, but I assure you she’s actually demanding love and petting for herself. “Look at ME, not those KITTENS!”
Closeups of her kittens: Sterling (black, boy), Lira (black & white, girl) and Franc (orange tabby, boy.)
(We are fostering Tala and the Coins for a short time until room is open for them with another foster.)

Tossing bouncy balls for Pita and watching her chase them. This is more entertaining than it should be, I think.
Also, a brief glimpse of sleek black kitty Carson, who we were fostering for just a short time longer, hopefully. (He is adoption pending.)
Good night innernets. (Meander)

So sorry to hear about Sterling. Maybe Tala moved him behind the toilet because he had a a slight fever or she knew something was off
Poor baby Sterling…fly high to The Bridge little one!
Big hugs to you Robyn…
Poor Tala
So sorry to see you lost your little Sterling, hope the other two keep thriving.
I’m so sorry about Sterling – he was a cutie.
It’s very helpful of Newt to assist Pita and provide his years of experience in cleaning the bowl!
So sorry to hear about Sterling. ((hugs)) to all.
So sorry about Sterling, hope you’re okay, and getting lots of distraction and comfort from the other kittens. Great to see them all getting along well, and looking adorable as usual!!
PS-the 2012 post is an awesome memory. That was when I started reading this blog (March-ish 2012). Maybe it could go in the favorites HOF or just the Kara part at the end could go on the favorite picture page.
I added it to the Favorite Pics page!
I’m so sorry about little Sterling
Thank you all so much for your kind words – knowing that he was warm and safe when he passed is a great help.
So sorry to hear about Sterling. Bless his little soul – RIP Sterling. You do such an amazing job checking on them regularly and fostering them once they are rescued from awful circumstances.
Awww, I’m so sorry. Sweet little Sterling kitten. 🙁 I’m sure he’s up at the bridge being groomed by Charlene Butterbean. I imagine he’s probably being greeted by a big friendly lab as well, if I know mine – he was always a gentle friend to cats.
So sorry to hear about Sterling. Sweet little boy is at the Rainbow Bridge with all the other kitties waiting for you. You gave him a good home for his short time.
