This is how Pita folds shirts. She’s a helpful, helpful girl.

Kittens spilling out of the top of the cat tree. (Mosey (front), Skip (right), Lollygag (back) and Bolt’s butt.)
Mosey’s all “Whatcha doin’, Mama?”
Skitter says “Somethin’ feels funny.”
I walked into the room and Meander ran over to me for petting, leaving these little disgruntled faces behind. (From left: Bolt, Mosey, Lollygag and Skip.)
Lollygag, Skitter and Dillydally in the hammock.
A little bit of attitude from Lollygag, some wide-eyed amazement from Skip, and in the background Mosey, Dillydally and Skitter hang out in the hammock.
Skip’s not sure about this sunshine business.

When I took Carson to Petsmart to meet the potential adopter the other day, he walked around, sniffed a little, and then flopped down and chilled. I’m telling you, he is one chill dude.

“Tala,” I said. “Really? Those sweet babies on the hard floor?”
“They’re fine,” she said. “Now pet me.”

Just a fabulous Khal, sitting around with his tongue hanging out. As you do.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
“Hey guys,” I said yesterday. “That whale bed is getting to be too small for all 6 of you. Don’t you want to spread out?”
This morning, all 6 of them were stuffed into an even smaller space. I guess they told me!
In case you missed it in the blog this morning, this guy is Carson. He’s 1 year old, and was dumped in the country. When we got him, he was very hungry and had a wounded paw. We’ve had him about 2 weeks and in that time he’s been very well fed, his paw is mostly healed, and he’s been neutered. He is the chillest, sweetest guy who just wants to hang out and be buddies.
I was going to tell y’all that we’re just waiting ’til he could have his last vaccination and for there to be room at Petsmart, but fortunately someone spotted his picture and profile on the Forgotten Felines FB page, and now Carson is adoption pending!

The boys are tussling on one side of the room, and the girls are tussling on the other side of the room. (It took me a minute to realize the boys were together and the girls were together!)
Our other temporary foster is this sweet girl – Tala – and her three kittens: orange boy Franc, black boy Sterling, and black and white girl Lira. They’re with us briefly until they can go to another foster.
“COME ON, LADY, IT’S CHURU TIME!” (Pita)
Good night innernets. (Lollygag)

Okay, the first picture of Pita and the laundry “help” made me bust a gut laughing. I relate to this photo on a deep and personal level, as I also have laundry “helpers”, one of whom burrows and digs around in any pile of fabric he finds. If a drawer is open, he’ll dig around and throw the contents on the floor. If I am folding laundry, he’ll dig around in the folded stack, knock it over, and make me re-fold the whole thing.
Also, Lira is a floof. Book it.
I missed getting the picture where she burrowed into the warm laundry, she was cracking me up!
I think I see an ear behind Skip in this photo: A little bit of attitude from Lollygag, some wide-eyed amazement from Skip, and in the background Mosey, Dillydally and Skitter hang out in the hammock. 🙂
Kahl’s magnificent blep! I love that photo.
Bolt and Mosey really do look mad that mama up and left!!
I just adopted a mama cat and took her to the Humane Society to get spayed. She will have to wear that awful cone for the next 2 weeks (she won’t, she gets it off of her faster than I can put it on). I never see any cats on this page with cones. Does the vet have a different procedure? What am I missing? Thank you
Different vets do things differently – the vet we use uses surgical glue rather than stitches. We’ve never used a cone (or a post-surgery suit) and have never had an issue with kittens/cats messing with their incisions.
I hope Carson’s forever home has a mellow kitty friend or two already in residence. All the easygoing buddy cats forever. <3
Speaking of <3, Tala, you are indeed a LOVEBUG! <3 And so are you, Meander! You've just had a series of sweet mama kitties around recently, haven't you? I wish I could pet them all.
And Khal, you are a magnificent creature, even with your tongue evidently sticking out, and that little squeaky voice of yours. May no one say otherwise… including me. *giggles*
The guy who applied to adopt Carson has a kitty (Chet) who is a dead ringer for Carson. Black, green eyes, white locket – same chill personality. I think they’ll be a good match!
