I have a 20 year old orange girl (Minnie) who also gets as much food as she wants. The problem is keeping her 4 year old sister (Mabel) from eating it. Any tips?
The only suggestions that come to mind are to either feed Minnie in the bathroom, or a crate. We used to have to feed one of our old guys in the bathroom (and then of course every time we went near the bathroom he’d get very excited, thinking he was about to get food!) (PS: Minnie and Mabel are great names!)

Is the Hopalong Gang going to sport a few long-haired babies? Maybe even a medium-hair as well? Or are they just that darn cute and fuzzy?
Right now – but don’t hold me to it! – I think that Mosey is going to be medium or long-haired, and the others will be short-haired. I was very sure a couple of the Crumbs were going to be floofy, but nope!

I used to see your posts on FB quite often but nothing for the last three weeks. Stupid, frustrating FB? Or Do you know why?
That’s unfortunately all Facebook’s doing. The algorithm has decided that you don’t want to see my posts for some reason, it sounds like! I’ve heard that clicking reactions (and posting comments) on posts will help give them the idea that you DO want to see the posts, but I can’t say whether or not that actually works. FB drives me nuuuuuts.

In case you missed it on social media yesterday…
Crouton and Pumpernickel were adopted and went home to Colorado yesterday! She (Crouton) will likely keep her name; they’re thinking of other names for Pumpernickel. And they’re considering a social media presence – I will post that if they decide to go ahead with it.
I swear to you, I don’t think Pita, Ciabatta and Babka even realize they’re gone. It’s business as usual for those three.
Speaking of those three – they were SUPPOSED to go for their spays and neuter yesterday, but the vet didn’t get a supply shipment that was supposed to arrive, so it didn’t happen. They are going TODAY for their surgeries (at the same vet Pumpernickel and Crouton went to earlier this week), so let’s all cross our fingers that it happens. This has been a strange week.
Today’s post includes the last of the pictures I have that include Pumpernickel and Crouton.
Boys taking over the CatLady box!
Pumpernickel chortles at his own joke.
Quite the lineup of boxes, no? They really like all three boxes, so what was I supposed to do? Get rid of one? Am I a MONSTER?
Crouton on Newt’s scratchy couch.
Crouton and Pita take over the CatLady box. (That pink harness Crouton is wearing is the one she wore on the plane; Pumpernickel’s was blue. They didn’t love them, but I put the harnesses on them for a while each day, so by yesterday they were used to them.)
Crouton and Pumpernickel snuggle up for a nap.

And YEP. They are using the litter boxes!
Oh, does Lollygag have a complaint? Why, yes. Yes she does.

Khal, Newt and Charlie can take up some space!

Morning shenanigans in the kitchen. Because where better?
Hooray, hooray, Pumpernickel and Crouton were adopted (together) today and are headed home to Colorado! Happy life, sweet babies! ❤️❤️❤️
Doesn’t Auntie Alice look pleased by Babka’s takeover of her bed?
So Babka, Ciabatta and Pita were supposed to go for their spays/neuter today, but unfortunately the vet didn’t get the supply shipment she needed, so it didn’t happen. They are going TOMORROW instead! (Fingers crossed – this has been such a weird week!)

I came into the room as the milk bar patrons were finishing up, and caught this minute of wiggly ears and then kittens licking their lips. So SWEET.
After a day spent driving to Nashville (well, I drove – they slept most of the way), meeting (one of) their new people, and flying to Colorado to their forever home, Pumpernickel and Crouton are taking it all in stride – Mike reports that they’re already purring and curling up in laps for snuggles!❤️ (Thanks, Mike!)

We love your kitties here in far off Montreal, Canada. Just looking at them here and elsewhere is great for the mental health. Congrats to the adoptees!
Lollygag has tiny Bobcat ears! So cute!
It’s a great shot of her beautiful dark ear tufts!
While the 2017 post will always be a favorite, 2007 cracked me up and I chortled out loud.
Ha – I had to go read it again!
May I suggest Rye as a possible new name for Pumpernickel? It would keep the bread theme, and pumpernickel rye bread is delicious. 😉 Glad the babies made it safe & happy to their home!
With regard to Facebook – use the search function, then visit it every day and click on “See all” if you want regular updates on more than one page. I do this every day and so can see who has new posts. In my experience, it’s the only way to keep up with your favourite pages on a daily basis.
