Pita and Crouton have a snooze.
It’s a lady cat (Crouton) in a CatLady box.
Ciabatta is just such a CUTIE (and he knows it.)
It’s a nothing pie, with a side of Babka. (My favorite!)
Pita and the wide-eyed innocent look (we’re not fooled, Pita.)
Pumpernickel and Crouton were spayed/neutered yesterday, and they were done early enough that I was able to bring them home in the late afternoon. Everything went great, and there wasn’t even any hissing from Pita, Babka and Ciabatta. They were just like “Yeah, they smell funny but whatevs.”

It’s a Mosey pie (my favorite!) I have yet to find a kitten sleeping in the pie plate, but I think we all know it’s only a matter of time.
Skip and Bolt check to see if the milk bar is open (judging by the look on Mama’s face, it’s not looking good!)
“Lady, I sees you!” says Skitter.
Dillydally’s feelin’ pouty (or about to drop off to sleep, more likely.)
Skip gets a bath and wants to be sure y’all know he’s a boy.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
The kittens were all scheduled for their spay/neuters today, but the vet needed to reschedule for Thursday. Fortunately, another vet was able to fit Pumpernickel and Crouton in today, so they ARE going today – Pita, Ciabatta and Babka will go on Thursday. Crouton and Pumpernickel will spend the night at the vet’s, and I’ll pick them up first thing tomorrow. (From left: Babka, Crouton, Pita, Ciabatta & Pumpernickel.)
With his tail tucked over to the side, I think Skip looks like a little polar bear as he tries to look through the mesh side of the crate to see what’s on the other side (um… just a wall!) Dillydally waits to hear his report.

Pita’s tail is so ridiculously long that she doesn’t even have to chase it, she can just grab it and clean it!
A thing I figured out is that Babka DOES like Churu – she just has to think about it first. So she sits off to the side while her siblings gather around and slurp, and then I offer it to her, and she sniffs, considers it, and then takes a delicate lick. They’re all hooligans and she’s a LAYDEE, thank you.
(Pumpernickel and Crouton are still at the vet for their spay/neuter – the other kittens are going Thursday. They were all supposed to go today, but the vet needed to reschedule. Fortunately, another vet was able to fit Pumpernickel and Crouton in today.)

3 1/2 minutes with the Hopalong Gang, who are getting more impossibly adorable every single day!
Mama: Meander
Bolt: blue collar (GIRL)
Dillydally: orange tabby (GIRL)
Lollygag: red collar (GIRL)
Mosey: no collar (darker cream color; BOY)
Skip: green collar (BOY)
Skitter: purple collar (BOY)
Pumpernickel and Crouton came through their spay/neuters just fine – and they were done early enough in the day that the vet said they could come home instead of spending the night. They are a tiny bit glassy-eyed, but otherwise doing great. And best of all… no hisses from Pita, Ciabatta or Babka. ❤️
Good night innernets. (The Hopalong Gang kittens)

“It’s a lady cat (Crouton) in a CatLady box.” — love this caption.
Also just wanted to leave a note of appreciation that the previous day’s/weekend’s social media posts are captured in each blog; I do follow (with favorite status, mind you) on I***nstagram, but sometimes miss stuff (gasp!), so it’s good to know it’ll be here. Plus, I like to revisit the stuff anyway – especially off-the-charts cute stuff like the little polar bear situation 🙂
I know there are a lot of people who don’t do social media, and I don’t want them to miss out. Plus, having everything in the blog is helpful to me if I’m looking for something specific!
You are so right that they’re getting more adorable each day! Love, love, love all the photos and videos…especially the last one where Dillydally looks like she’s sucking her paw like a baby would suck their thumb. So precious!
Hi Robyn,
I used to see your posts on FB quite often but nothing for the last three weeks.
Stupid, frustrating FB? Or Do you know why?
Thanks, Tina
That’s unfortunately all Facebook’s doing. The algorithm has decided that you don’t want to see my posts for some reason, it sounds like! I’ve heard that clicking reactions (and posting comments) on posts will help give them the idea that you DO want to see the posts, but I can’t say whether or not that actually works. FB drives me nuuuuuts.
Thanks Robyn! ⬛♥️
Pumpernickel, especially, looks likes he will grow up to be a very big kitty for his family – lucky them! <3
I told their adopter this morning that I think Pumpernickel’s going to be a great big lunk and Crouton is going to be the tiny genius who tells him what to do!
