Charlie’s been around the kittens a lot more in the past few days, and what’s surprising to me is that Canasta is perfectly chill about having him around, whether she’s wearing the onesie or not. Which makes me wonder if the process of her milk drying up has an impact on her hormones, so she’s calmer – or maybe less protective of her kittens. In any case, she doesn’t have any problems with Charlie at this point, so he can go upstairs whenever he wants now. The kittens are still a bit uncertain of him, but I don’t think it’ll be long before they’re playing.

Not so much kitten related, but I’d really like to know where the lovely new green bedspread came from (if you want to share the source). Canasta looks so elegant against the pale colors! So I guess maybe this question could be considered kitten related after all. 🙂

And YAY! to Fred’s book being in paperback! I’ve never had a kindle but I’ll be sure to pick up a copy of this novel now. Any plans for his others to be available in a printed version, too? Cuz then I could finally get/read them all!

You can get a Kindle app for your phone or laptop and read on them…it’s not the best reading experience, but it works! Plus I find my Kindle annoying as well, so you might as well not spend the extra money 🙂

Where did you get Canasta’s onesie? I’ve got a foster mama I’ve got to get spayed soon.
Amazon! I got this one right here, but if you search on “cat recovery suit”, there are a ton of different ones. Canasta wears a size medium, and I bought two so that I can wash one while she’s wearing the other (I swap them out every morning, even though they’re perfectly clean and she could probably wear the same one for a few days.) They come in different colors and sizes.
They are growing into having their mama’s striking eyes. Very fun to watch! Can’t wait for updates when they are grown.

I love that photo of Canasta on the tree with 3 of the kittens! I love the one who has his/her paws tucked a bit, just hanging out with Mama.

I agree with the statement that the kittens, indeed, all seem to have the same shape and slant of Mama’s beautiful eyes!
Did you ever see the kittens trying to nurse on the onesie?
Yes! Slapjack was trying to nurse on the onesie yesterday and Canasta looked disgusted and walked away.
