Pumpernickel has a COMPLAINT, and his COMPLAINT is that the sun is TOO BRIGHT.
It’s a Ciabatta pie. (My favorite!)
And a Babka pie! (Also my favorite.)
Crumpet is outta here this morning for her spay surgery. I expect all to go well, and that we’ll be back home by early afternoon.
There have been no inquiries about her at all, so she’s still available if anyone out there is interested (email Forgotten Felines at info (at) ffhsv.org ) I will be posting more often about her on social media; hopefully her people are out there and will show up before long.

Alice is giving me some attitude. (She thought she heard a kitten, but it was just a video on my phone.)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
The kittens have started taking it upon themselves to join Crumpet during her quiet pie time, and doesn’t she look just so very pleased? (I guess someone should tell the kittens that mama likes her pie time to be SOLITARY.)
Former foster update! Back in 2021, we fostered a litter of kittens (and their mama), whom we named after elements. Two of those kittens – Nikki Nickel and Ruthy Ruthenium – were adopted together. And this is what they look like these days!
That’s Minnie (formerly Nikki) in the top pic, and Silvie (formerly Ruthy) on the bottom.
Frances [who got to spend Easter with the girls and their family in Georgia] said: “Silvie is the bolder of the two girls. She even got under the covers with me the 1st morning. Minnie was very much shyer with strangers. But before I left we did make friends. Their sister, Buttons, is still with them at approx. 20 years old. They have a new brother, Lunar aka Lou. That relationship is still
evolving. They are doing great & they are much loved.”
(Thank you Frances!)

5 minutes of kittens & Crumpet. Sorry so long – they just insisted on being cute, and I couldn’t stand to stop recording. First I demand to know who’s Da BAYbee (and they all look at me like I’m ridiculous), and then there’s some milk bar action. If I had let the video go on just 10 seconds longer, you’d be able to see how easily Crumpet gets up and walks off when she decides that the milk bar is closed. But ALAS.
Line ’em UP! From left: Crouton, Babka, Pumpernickel, Pita and Ciabatta.
One day I will get them all chattering at me at the same time, OH YES I WILL. (Side note: I have been extremely lax in their education and they have not yet been introduced to the magic of Churu. That’ll happen this week!)

Ciabatta and Pumpernickel are having fun in and on the fruitasan. They certainly know how to entertain themselves.
“The manager says if you want extra tartar sauce, it’s gonna cost 10 cents per packet.” (Crouton)
Good night innernets. (Pumpernickel)
