Weekly Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr Roundup.
Yesterday Fred made a tiny cardigan and Javier modeled it. Javier had no idea what on earth was going on, but he tolerated it well. (For those of you who don’t already know this, Fred is my husband, and he crochets. He doesn’t much care to follow patterns – he made this freehand – and he chafes at being asked to make anything in particular (he wants to make what he wants to make when he wants to make it), which is probably a good thing because otherwise we’d be buried in cat clothing right about now.)
Alejandro’s all “I’m trying to NAP and Pablo keeps POKING MEEE!”

BOOPing Pablo.
Carmelita shows off her full-body bedhead. (Yes, I do believe she’s going to be a floofy one.)

Hanging out in the kitten room, watching them play. They are just so darn CUTE.
That look of concentration on Alejandro’s face! ❤️
Good night innernets. (Alejandro, Diego and Javier)
Pablo has registered a complaint with the Governor because he’s pretty sure Isabella’s Milk Bar is DEFINITELY an essential service, and he doesn’t appreciate the proprietress blocking his access to the spigots. He awaits a reply.
Carmelita isolates in style, but she’s not happy about it.

Listen, if Alejandro’s gonna be Da BAYbee, he’s got to learn to answer the question. (He’s very talky when he’s sleepy.)
Oh that pretty, pretty girl. I’ve had a lot of people ask about how Isabella’s fur is doing, and the answer is that I am cautiously optimistic. It’s still thin where she’d pulled out fur, but it is definitely growing back in. She doesn’t seem to be pulling fur or overgrooming any more, so hopefully the issue is past. Fingers crossed!

Honestly, they are such little goobers. I don’t know how I don’t squoosh every one of them ’til the marshmallow fluff comes out their ears.

By request: Francois, confirming that he was, indeed, Da BAYbee. (Francois and his lookalike sister Madeline were our fosters last summer and in fact are two of the three kittens who came to us with Neko (formerly Katriane), who can be seen over at Keeping Tabbies along with her BFF Elfie (formerly Margeaux), who was mother to the tiny kittens in the second part of this video. Good lord, that was a convoluted explanation!)
While the other kittens are bellied up to the milk bar, Javier takes a chance to bunny-kick Pablo in the butt… and he’s not sorry.

Sometimes Alejandro is graceful (that pounce!), sometimes… not so much. Bless his heart.
Good night innernets. (Alejandro & Javier)
Post-breakfast Javier, with food on his face. He’s saving it for later!
I sneezed, and Alejandro went FLOOF. (All the other kittens ran and hid.)

Your Daily Skitter, featuring Alejandro and Diego (and Javier, though he doesn’t join in on the skittering).
When I sneezed (see earlier picture of Alejandro), Pablo and Diego took refuge under the bed.

Isabella is a big fan of the Friskies Party Mix treats, and if I even so much as look in the direction of the jar where the treats are stored, she lets me know that it’s treat time. (It’s always treat time.)
Pablo is such a little nut (and yes, a Cutie!)

Just hanging out, watching ’em play. My favorite thing to do!
Carmelita’s keeping an eye on me from up high.
As far as I know, there’s been no one interested in adopting Isabella yet. I am fully aware that many of you are of the very firm opinion that she should be made a permanent resident; many of you were also of the very firm opinion that we should have made permanent residents of Charles & Caroline, Margeaux and Katriane, every kitten we fostered last year, and for that matter pretty much every single one of the 401 fosters we’ve fostered so far. Isabella will not be a permanent resident; her home is out there somewhere, not here with us. Maybe it’s with you? Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org if you’re interested in adopting her (she should be ready early to mid May, like her kittens).
She will be spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to stroll away from the Mom life. It’s her turn to be the baby!

Your Daily Skitter: Featuring Alejandro, Javier, Pablo & Carmelita. (Diego had better things to do, apparently.)
Alejandro’s the laundry inspector and he’s considering ticketing me for a too-full dryer and also washing his toys without asking first.

This is a particularly spitty litter of kittens – they spit at each other and at me a LOT, but I almost never manage to catch it on video. Here we have Pablo and Javier gettin’ spitty.
“What doin’, weird lady?” inquires Carmelita and Pablo.

Just hanging out, watching ’em play. They’re such little goobers.
Good night innernets. (Carmelita up front, belly-up, with Diego, Alejandro and Javier behind her.)
Happy Thlurrrpsday! Javier has excellent thlurrrping form.
Alejandro’s using his thlurrrping skills to keep Pablo clean.

Your Daily Skitter, featuring Diego. That boy is on fire!
Throw back to 2015, when we had pregnant kitty Lucille Ball (her kittens were born on April 1st and named after comedians). I was messing around with a fisheye lens, and this picture cracks me UP. Her feet are perfectly positioned so that they look like fangs!

Throw back to late 2015, when we had 4 kittens named Levine, Shelton, Stefani and Pharrell (collectively known as The Coaches). I tossed this toy at Levine, and his reaction made me laugh and laugh. That boy was a nut.
Alejandro would like you to admire his thlurrrping skills, please.

When I bought those cubes (the Lurvig cat house) from Ikea, I didn’t expect them to be quite so popular (and didn’t expect the kittens to climb up them so easily), but they’ve proven to be quite a hit!
Good night innernets. (Javier & Diego)
Carmelita has conquered the tri-level track toy. Next stop: Everest!

Your Daily Skitter: Featuring Javier and Pablo. It’s nice to see Javier get his skitter on!
I imagine that if Pablo were human, he would walk through the door saying “Hallo!” like Squiggy from Laverne & Shirley.

Carmelita gets BOOP’d.
Just hangin’ out in the kitten room watching Javier (on top of the cube), Carmelita (in the cube) and Diego (on the scratcher) do their thing.

Is Alejandro Da BAYbee? He’s not saying. He’s like “I don’t understand the question and I won’t respond to it.” I’m wishing I’d focused more on Javier back there, kicking himself in the face like the goober he is.
Good night innernets. (Javier, Diego, Pablo & Carmelita)
Paws up, y’all. It’s Caturday! (Alejandro)
Carmelita is serious about her Paws Up, Y’all. She’s not messing around!
Diego would like you to get your belly AND your paws up, y’all! (Pablo says if you feel like getting sassy, you can get your tongue out, too. Carmelita’s just along for the tussle.)
Belly up and paws up, y’all! This is the pie plate edition, apparently. Thank you for your demonstration, Alejandro.

If he’d stopped giving his Mama the Eyes of Love long enough to answer, we could have solved this mystery sooner!
Carmelita’s showing off her floofy belly and her Paws Up, Y’all technique. She’s a giver.

When Diego’s hanging out in the scratcher, that seems like the perfect time to do some BOOPing.
Diego’s snoozing but still gets in on the Paws up, Y’all theme for today… and doesn’t he have a delightful belly?

The grey boy with the white toe and tail tip, I dont want to say a name and be wrong, lol, is he the same one with the differently colored whisker humps/muzzle? I swear, when he gets adopted you’re going to have to make his new people sign a contract to show us grown up pictures of him because I wanna know what all that is going to look like later! I mean, his tail light is almost gone now, isnt it? and I can’t tell where the toe is. I hope his face markings get more prominent because it’s adorable!
Believe the boy with the white toe is Pablo, and the gray kitten with the blush all over him is Alejandro, so they’re two different kittens.
I so love former foster updates. Love seeing their relaxed, smug lives.
Javier is wearing a cardigan. There are no words.
If I start going squirrelly due to the lockdown, I will just look at that picture of Javier. In a cardigan. The remedy we all need right now.
Take THAT COVID-19.
