In case you missed it on Facebook yesterday, Stinkerbelle didn’t come down from atop the cabinets at snack time. Fred climbed up to see what was going on, and found her curled up in her cat bed. She’d apparently passed on in the night; she looked very peaceful, so we hope that whatever took her was fast and painless.
Her tribute post will be up tomorrow.
Weekly Instagram/Facebook/Tumblr Roundup.
(These are pictures and videos that I uploaded to Instagram (and which auto-posted to Facebook and Tumblr) throughout the week. I know not everyone has access to that social media, so I’ll be posting them here once a week so everyone gets to see the cuteness.)
Dear People of The Innernets, please allow me to introduce to you Bert Macklin, Litter Box User Extraordinaire. Not even 4 weeks old, and he’s got one litter box pee under his belt. Clearly a genius!
And in second place in the litter box-using competition: Princess Consuela! The gray Fakers are knocking it out of the park today!
Goodnight, innernets. (Ken Adams)
“Gooood morning, innernets!” Art Vandelay, Susie, Chanandler Bong, and Princess Consuela
I promise I won’t keep posting pictures of kittens in litter boxes, but look at that sweet Chanandler Bong with her little tail flopped over the side of the litter box, concentrating on what she’s doing. Such a smart little muffin!
And this is why we use non-clumping litter to start – and also why we scoop as often as possible! (For the record, this is perfectly normal.) (Art Vandelay)
Ignore the green around Chanandler Bong ‘s eye (it’s from the ointment I put in it due to a goopy eye) and admire the fashion accessory on her nose.
Goodnight, innernets. Bert Macklin
“Mama, mama, mama, look! I gots TOESES !”
“HOLY COW, YOU DO! You seein’ this, innernets?!” Art Vandelay & Regina Phalange
Look at that delectable little tummy! (Susie)
Goodnight, innernets. (Chanandler Bong, Bert Macklin & Princess Consuela.)
“HI innernets! Hi hi!” Art Vandelay
Well, some little smarty pants got up on the lowest shelf of the wall tree. I guess I lost the use of that shelf to stash things out of the way of nosy kittens! (Susie)
Goodnight, innernets. (Princess Consuela)
Good morning, bright eyes! (Ken Adams)
Princess Consuela in the little basket. Oh, that FACE.
Goodnight, innernets. (Princess Consuela)
“Good morning, innernets. Today I am working on my Ears of Annoyance skills. How’m I doing?” (Ken Adams)
Art Vandelay is comfy on his Bert Macklin bed.
“Um, lady? Somebody’s foot is in my face? Can you tell them to stop being so rude?” (Susie)
“Lady, can you make him get out of my basket, please?” (Princess Consuela & Art Vandelay)
All the videos are put together into one video to make it easier for me. It’s amazing to see how much steadier they are on their feet at the end of the video versus the beginning!

I’m so sad to hear about Stinkerbelle. They take a piece of your heart with them…
I’m so sorry to hear about Stinkerbelle. Such a beautiful girl. RIP
I am so sorry about Stinkerbelle. She seemed like a great cat and so much a part of your every day. I will miss seeing updates on her, and can’t imagine how your house will feel without her. Comfort and condolences to you all.
I’m so sorry about Stinkerbelle. There have been too many tribute posts needed recently.
{{hugs}}
So very sorry to hear this. A very sad day for you & Fred, and the rest of your followers as well. My heart goes out to you. Looks like she went to the Bridge in the best possible way… in her home with those that loved her.
RIP sweet girl.
I sincerely hope 2016 will not be a repeat of last year for you. Too much heartbreak in 2015.
Oh no, I’m so sorry about Stinkerbelle. My heart is breaking for her and for you all and I have never met her. So sorry for your loss.
I’m sorry to hear about Stinkerbelle. I’m glad she went peacefully.
Oh no, not again. 🙁 It sounds a lot like what happened to my Amber a year ago; I’m glad both girls went peacefully but they both went far too soon. Many hugs to you and Fred, from someone who’s been there.
As my vet wrote after my cat Molly died, “That girl was a pistol, but I think we came to respect each other.” Stinkerbelle was even more of a pistol, and received far more than respect: she got and found love. I’m so thankful that she left peacefully, though I was expecting to appreciate her single-mindedness and great beauty for many more years.
Condolences, so sorry to hear about Stinkerbelle.
Oh no… so sad. Now Stinkerbelle is with her beloved Tommy, though. Hugs to you both.
I’m so sorry to hear about Stinkerbelle.
I’m sorry for your loss.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I will miss stinkerbelle judging us from atop the cabinets.
This is heartbreaking news-I’m so very sorry for your loss.
Stinkerbelle had the best boundaries of any cat I “know”, and I’m sad for your loss. I wonder if anycat is going to take over the cabinet troll job?
So shocked and saddened to hear of Stinkerbelle’s passing. I will miss seeing her beautiful face.
Robyn and Fred, I’m so sorry to hear about Stinkerbelle…
I have no idea of animals really go to heaven but I have to believe that somewhere Stinkerbelle is giving Tommy that Look of Love and rubbing her face in his fur.
Thank you for giving her such a good life and for loving her so.
So very sorry for your loss of Stinkerbelle. I have to believe she is with her beloved Tommy now.
Sincere condolences on Miss Stinkerbelle’s passing. I hope that her dying in her sleep is some comfort to you and Fred. Let’s hope she found her Tommy in The World Beyond.
Aw Stinkerbelle, I’m sure going to miss seeing your lovely blue eyes. I know you’re with your sweet man-candy Tommy now, and that is surely a consolation to your Mom and Dad. You be a good girl, and make sure to look in on them from time to time, ok? They’ll be missing you and will need to feel you around them.
I am glad that I get to work early and no one else is here because I said “WHAT!!!” very loudly! I am stunned and ever so saddened. It was way too soon for her. She must have wanted to be with her beloved Tommy. I am grateful that it was a peaceful passing and in her favorite spot. She will forever be in all of our memories and heart. Beautiful beautiful girl!!! R.I.P. little one. May God comfort you in his arms.
my response was “what the.. what??!!?!”
