On Tuesday afternoon, Maura’s Mom stopped by to visit her. The visit went well.

That’s right, I said “Maura’s Mom”!

No more details for now, though. I don’t want to jinx the adoption process! More details once she’s gone to her new home (which will be sometime after Sunday), I promise.

Rhyme, having just woken up, isn’t sure who or where he is.


Play time for Corbett and Bolitar.


Tommy was pretending not to notice Rhyme down there, and was twitching his tail juuuuust out of reach. It was driving Rhyme NUTS.


Recycling inspectors, asleep on the job!


Reacher, having gone into the trash searching for a crumpled up piece of tissue or paper towel, comes out disappointed.

    It is wonderful that Maura is being adopted so soon, but I sure will miss seeing her here!

    Her new family is in for a real treat with that sweetie. Cheers!

  2. Awwwww that is such wonderful news about Maura!!! Oh I will so miss her – she’s been such a star!! But it’s great that she soon to have her own forever home!

    The Bookworms continue to be so adorable I really should think up of another word that’s not “awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww”!!!

    But they’re just too cute. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

  4. so good to hear of Maura’s new home! that’s truly wonderful.
    Loved the film yesterday of the kitties along with Miss Poo racing down the hallway, that was precious.
    How can these Bookworms keep getting cuter?? Love it.

    And the Bookworms – seriously what is there to say about them. They are all just so adorable!

    And yes, Newt does look a bit concerned there!

    How about going over to Kitten Mom’s place to show some support? Jane has been fighting tooth and nail to save the remnants of her super litter, which was decimated by parvo (Yikes!!).

  7. I don’t often comment on blogs I read… but… omg, the Tommy & Rhyme pictures require it! SO great! SO hard to keep in the squee while others are trying to sleep here! Ahh!

  8. I love Reacher the best. I can’t help it. Naming a little darling kitten after big old badass Jack Reacher tickles my fancy, and his little cloudy grey tabby self is just so beautiful. I always think ‘aw cute’ about your kittens BUT I WANT TO ADOPT REACHER.
    I live in New Zealand so I’m afraid that’s not happening, unless you can do a Flat Stanley and mail him over in a big envelope.
