We had guys working in the back yard (new field lines for the septic system FINALLY, yay!) and Hollyhock was enthralled.
Vroom vroom vroom, Hollyhock’s takin’ the Catnip Express.
I don’t know what Kudzu was thinking of doing here, but he sure looks guilty about it.
Mimosa with one ear folded back. She’s such a sweet goofball.
Kudzu and Bramble in the sun. Bramble’s all “Excuse you, ma’am, we’re very busy.”

Charlie rarely sleeps with me (I am a very active sleeper, and it annoys the cats so none of the brats will sleep with me) so on the rare occasion he snuggles up, I enjoy it very much. He is such a sweet boy.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Mimosa is doing great after her spay – she’ll snuggle the kittens for a bit if they come looking for it, but if they try to nurse, she just gets up and walks away. I saw her batting some toys around yesterday and wrestling with Mondo, so I’d say she’s feeling pretty good.
Back in 2020 – not quite two years ago – we fostered the Mewsketeers – Alexandra and her 8 kittens. (Okay, they weren’t all HER 8 kittens – three of them were hers, and the other 5 were add-ins.) Among them were brother and sister Constance (white feet) and Rochefort. They were found all alone and needed a mother, so Alexandra took them on. (Fun fact: this is the same litter our permanent resident Uncle Charlie came from!) These days Constance is Oleander, and Rochefort is Rhus, and this is what they look like now!
Cat reports: Here are some muffin pics! oleander(ollie/lolly) continues to be full of zoom and spends much of her day doing very imortnat muffin jobs such as helping her pawpaw and meemeow around the house, snoopervising cleaning, and quality cheking all grocerys. Rhus takes dutys such as bathroom escort, cabnet opening, bug hunting, and plantslapping very seriusly. he is the first to run upstairs if he hears the word “nap” and enjoys his leasure time baking himself in the bay window or laying on the hamper or in the sink upstairs.

Clover has the sweetest purr!
A couple more pictures from when Uncle Charlie met the Sprouts while Mimosa was off being spayed! That is a fabulous Floof Suit Hollyhock is sporting – and the only reason Mondo was floofed is because Hollyhock was.
Putting on their Floof Suits is entirely normal for kittens this age (especially kittens who’ve never met a strange cat before.) The idea is that they make themselves bigger to scare off potential predators. They’ve never met Charlie before, they don’t know if he’s safe, so they err on the side of caution. All kittens who meet Uncle Charlie floof at him at first, and the more they’re exposed to him, the less they’ll floof until they decide he’s kind of cool, and then they’ll follow him around looking like the heart-eye kitty emoji. 😻
Uncle Charlie is the only permanent resident who shows any interest in the kittens, so he’s the one we let in to meet them first – especially because he’s pretty respectful and tries not to scare them. Most of the other permanent residents, when presented with a flood of kittens, hiss and slap at them. Now that Mimosa is back from her spay, she and the kittens will have the run of the upstairs during the day starting this weekend (this essentially doubles the amount of space they have), and I will start taking kittens downstairs, a few at a time, so that they can see the other permanent residents.

Bramble sure looks like his mama! 🙂
He certainly does! 🙂
I thought so too – Mimosa funny chin spot slipped up to her son Bramble’s adorable nose. He is a super-duper cutie kitty!
OMG, Mondo’s ears. Mondo is right when it comes to those ears.
I so love watching Foster updates. Those are no longer little muffins are they. They’re more like over risen sponges.
Thank you Cat for showing us your spoiled lounging lions
