Someone mentioned this video from 2015 of Louis rolling around in the sun, and I have to share it again, because OH GOOD LORD, the CUTE. Can you even stand it?

Bert Macklin was feeling very hoppy-skippy-jumpy. So he hopped, skipped, and jumped.
Then he landed JUST SO, so that his favorite toy was RIGHT THERE. Such a talented boy.
After that, he climbed up the cat tree, which was occupied by an unsuspecting Art Vandelay.
He watched Art play for a while.
Then he tackled Chanandler Bong in the pie plate, and Princess Consuela jumped in to help.
Bert and Chanandler wrassled, while Princess Consuela stared off into space.
Meanwhile, Art Vandelay barely touched Ken Adams, who reacted by flipping over onto his back and flailing around like a little drama queen.
Ken and Susie crammed themselves into the cubby of the little cat tree for a nap. (Ken’s eye looks red here because this picture is from a few days ago – he woke up one day with a red and swollen eye, and a visit to the vet showed there were no scrapes on his eye; he’s been on ointment for about a week now, and it’s pretty much cleared up.)
I love not only how pleased with himself Ken is, but that Susie is stretching and yawning in the background.
Art Vandelay in the basket o’ toys, ready to take a nap. It’s a tiring life, is what it is.

Videos! In the first, we brought a leaf of fresh catnip into the room to see what the kittens would do. Ken Adams let us know in no uncertain terms that DRUGS ARE BAD.
In the second video, it’s just Chanandler Bong, being adorable.

Bert Macklin is a busy guy! THIS is my favorite kitten age! and D’awwwww Stefan!!!! BTW, Robyn, thought about you yesterday in the midst of our two-day severe weather outbreak (STL area), the meteorologist mentioned that yesterday was the 5-year anniversary of the Alabama tornado outbreak… Yikes, has it been 5 years already? I was in Birmingham early fall that same year, my clients were still reeling. We may have grown a bit lax this year in STL area as this was our first brush w/severe weather… years past, this would have been the umpteenth time by now. Hope ya’ll are doing well and any and all severe weather misses Crooked Acres and the L&H community as a whole! (One can hope, right?) Have great day and scritch the kittens – fosters and permanent residents – for me! (Please and thank you!)
So far, it’s been a really calm year, weather-wise. I hope it continues to be that way! (I can’t believe it’s been 5 years either!)
That Stefan is such a love bug. He needs lots of kisses 🙂
giving the catnip a big “nope” 🙂
*and seriously – the Fred story from 2008….I have the giggles
You know, in that ‘drugs are bad’ video, I was so expecting him to kill that pill looking thing behind him.
I didn’t even notice that! They do like to bunny-kick that thing, I need to get a video of it for part 2.
