Weekly Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr Roundup.
“Excuse me, Mr. Rat, you gonna be done with that chair any time soon?” Diego wonders.
I just would like to point out that Diego is impossibly beautiful, in case you hadn’t noticed.
“Do pardon, lady, am a little human boy, as you can see by the way am standing on my feets like such, and was wondering if you had some more foods for me, for am hungry.”

Carmelita appears to have the condition we like to call “The zooming hippity-hops.”
Javier checks to see if there’s any probiotic left on Pablo’s chin. And Pablo’s face is CRACKING. ME. UP.
Good night innernets. (Diego & Pablo)
“SMILE! It’s MONDAY!” (Alejandro)
Hat of the Day: Isabella in the hat that Fred crocheted (and which was previously modeled by someone. Pablo, I think?) One of my favorite things about Isabella is how patient she is with me when I put a hat on her head. She’s such a good model!
Carmelita still fits in the tunnel, and yes – Javier is STILL messing with her tail and SHE DOESN’T LIKE IT.
Pablo’s laughing maniacally, Alejandro’s saying “Innernets, look! I gots a foot!” and Diego, Carmelita and Javier would just like to nap, thank you.

Wahhh! Alejandro? Da BAYbee.

The kittens (especially Javier and Alejandro) have donned their crazypants.
Good night innernets. (Alejandro & Javier)
“YOU BETTER BRING THAT FEATHER TEASER OVER HERE AND MAKE IT SNAPPY, LADY.” That Carmelita, so demanding.
If you would, please admire Pablo’s foot. It is Toesday, after all.

Diego in the tunnel – and tussling with Alejandro.
It’s a triple-kitten pie. My favorite! (Alejandro, Javier & Carmelita)

They sure do love that feather teaser. (Carmelita apparently had better things to do, and doesn’t show up ’til the end.)
Pablo in the sun – he sure does love that box. (Newsflash: cats like boxes, I’m not sure you heard.)

Diego the toy thief! Pablo’s not sure WHAT happened there.
Good night innernets. (Alejandro & Pablo)
Hat of the Day: Diego in a little red cowboy hat. Does it get any cuter?

Pablo in his box, showing off. He’s such a little nut.
“What?” Oh, that Javier. Couldn’t you just KISS him?

The permanent residents heard that I’m cutting up chicken in the kitchen, and would like theirs now, if you don’t mind. (Permanent residents Alice Mo, Newt, Archie and (wait for it) Khal are featured. Permanent residents Jake and Dewey had better things to do.)
Diego’s just hanging out in the scratcher, watching the world go by.
Javier’s dream come true. He’s only been eyeballing that ceiling fan pull pretty much for his ENTIRE life, and now that he can reach it, he’s not sure what to do.
It’s Thlurrrpsday, and here’s Javier, showing off his thlurrrping skillz. He’s a prodigy, that one.
Hat of the Day: Isabella says “Howdy, partner.” She’s about to head out to the back forty and rustle up some kittens.

One of the many many MANY goofy things I do with kittens is yawn at them so I can take a picture/video of them yawning. It works more often than you’d expect, but it’s got to be one of those big, loud yawns. I love how the kittens are all looking at me like I am NUTS.
Lying in the sun, kicking himself in the face, and getting mad that someone is kicking him in the face: it’s what Pablo does best.

It’s chipmunk season, and so we spend a lot of time trying to catch chipmunks that Alice and Newt have brought inside so we can release them to safety. In this video (which makes me laugh until I wheeze every time I watch it) a chipmunk was climbing the screen on the back porch and Fred (who is blurred out so that he can remain the International Crocheting Man of Mystery that he is) was trying to capture it. Who knew chipmunks could fly? Once at regular speed, once slowed down and once VERY slowed down. My favorite part (aside from the whole thing) is how slowing down the video makes my scream so dramatic. (The chipmunk was captured and released safely.)

Warning: there’s a snake in this video. If that sort of thing scares you, either watch with your eyes closed so you can giggle at my scream at the end, or skip it altogether. Throw Back Thursday: Back in 2016, when our mighty hunter Stefan was still with us (he passed away in 2018) and we lived in the country, he brought a live snake into the house, alerted me with a meow, and caused me to scream and yell for Fred. (There are a couple of pictures of Stefan and his catch at the end of the video.) This is another video that makes me laugh ’til I wheeze every time I watch it.
Ooh, Alejandro’s in trouble, and Mama is giving him what-for.
Good night innernets. (Carmelita, Pablo & Javier.)
That toy didn’t last long – here we see Alejandro starting to chew through the string, and by the end of the day it was down and being kicked around the room. (I trimmed the string off so no one would swallow it and require life-saving surgery because YOU KNOW THEY WOULD.)
Hat of the Day: Isabella’s no clown, but she pulls off that clown hat in style.

Javier and Diego are wearing their crazypants today, apparently.
Javier, who had JUST been biting Diego’s foot, objected when the teeth were on the other foot. So to speak.

Tossing toys with Alejandro and Carmelita (and appearances by Diego and Javier.)
I love that Diego isn’t in any way aware of the flying kitten directly above his head.

Keepin’ Javier clean. Awww, that Diego. He’s a giver!
Good night innernets. (Alejandro)
Good morning, innernets. Please admire Pablo’s loony little face.
Your Hat of the Day: The little red cowboy hat, which you’ve already seen on Diego. This time Pablo’s taking it out for a spin.

Pablo gets BOOP’d.
I’m not sure what’s going on over there, but Diego finds it fascinating.
YouTube link
Pablo’s got the slurpies.
Hallo! Javier in the front, Alejandro behind him, and Carmelita way in the back, all keeping an eye on what I’m doing.
Good night innernets. (Alejandro, Carmelita and Diego.)

Kittens have two modes: on, and off. They are either going 90 miles an hour, or they are out cold. There is no middle ground with a kitten.
TRUTH.
Well, I’m glad Mama disciplined Alejandro because I’m pretty sure I would not be able to. Oh, and I find it hard to believe that he would ever do anything bad. Like, ever.
These kittens clearly get their good looks from their beautiful mama. She rocks those hats like nobody’s business.
NO THANKS on the snake. A chippie, I can handle, except for the part where a cat tries to kill it. I know, intellectually, that snakes are fine, but my primitive brain insists that is not so. :/ For some reason, Stefan’s announcement meow cracked me up. Miss him!
I have the exact same red hat with flowers that Isabella is wearing. In human size.
Ha!
