Kudzu in the sun, with Mondo looking on.
Bramble takes a quick bath before he shows that track toy what’s what. And on the left, check out Kudzu in mid-pounce.
Fred was in the back yard watering plants, and Hollyhock was FASCINATED.
Mondo (left) and Clover pose for me while Hollyhock looks on.
Oh that Clover, he’s a cutie cute CUTE.
Kudzu’s all “What doin’, lady?”
Bramble looking at Mimosa, Mimosa lookin’ at me.
TODAY IS THE DAY. Mimosa is headed off for her spay surgery in just a little while (well, depending on when you’re reading this. I’m dropping her off between 7 and 7:30). She’ll spend the night at the vet’s, and I’ll pick her up and bring her back here in the morning.
Because that’s the way things go, she went back into heat late Friday, and was way more vocal than she was last weekend. When she wasn’t yowling, she was rolling around on her back or purring and rubbing her whiskers against every surface in the foster room. I am going to be SO GLAD to have her spayed so that she doesn’t have to go through this again!
If anyone out there is seriously interested in adopting this sweet girl, now would be a good time to email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org. (Just Mimosa; the kittens aren’t taking applications for another couple of weeks yet.) We think Mimosa is about 2 years old. She’s a sweet, confident girl and though we haven’t been able to let her around our permanent residents (she’s still got that protective-mama thing going on), I am certain that as long as she’s introduced to other cats properly (slowly), she’d be just fine with other cats.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Mondo’s all “There’s no room in this bed for me!” (Fortunately he’s a smart boy, so he immediately knocked all the toys onto the floor.)
5 Sprouts from above. From left: Kudzu, Bramble, Clover, Hollyhock and Mondo.

Mimosa plays!! (And Hollyhock gets her skitter on.)
Kudzu’s all “Hey, who’s this guy?”
YouTube link
Clover spits, I am confused, and Bramble shows off his fancy moves. (Okay, in my defense: I was looking at something else when Clover spit (twice!), so I didn’t realize how obvious it was that Clover was the spitter.
Also, Bramble shows the FANCY way to get into the Fruittasan.
I swear this looks like a picture from a catalog. “Okay, kids. Give me ATTITUDE, y’all need to really SELL that tiny Adirondack chair.”
Good night innernets! (Bramble in his taco bed.)
Mondo’s all “Shhh, lady. Kudzu’s still sleepin’!”
YouTube link
Mimosa and some of her boys. They love her, she loves them… but 1 at a time at the milk bar, please.
Good night innernets. (Hollyhock)
Breakfast is served! (Mondo and Clover were too busy playing to join at this time.)
Mimosa and Bramble are keeping an eye on the back yard.

Hollyhock is just having the BEST time with that bit of fur I brushed off of Mimosa yesterday.
Kudzu’s all “Hey mama, any chance the milk bar will be open today?” and Mimosa’s all “Not looking good for you, kid.”
YouTube link
We’ve heard very little purring from the kittens ’til now. I guess Clover just decided it was time. Listen to that sweet purrrr.
YouTube link
Mimosa is going for her spay in just over 12 hours and I CANNOT WAIT.
Pardon the picture – I was using my old phone to make this video, while playing the video/sound of Mimosa on my new phone, and my old phone is… pretty old. But you get the idea.
It’s a Clover pie! My favorite!

The mid-pounce pic of Kudzu reminds me of the “invisible shopping cart” pic of one of the permanent residents from some years back. Except Kudzu appears to be using an invisible wheelbarrow!
Fabulous updates and photos as always! I’ve decided I shall adopt all of the kitties and Mimosa , divorce my husband and bring my new cat family back to MIlwaukee! (Lol)
The Frutisan antics are fall off your chair cute! Made MY day for one. Hope beautiful Mimosa is resting comfortably as she is now ready to be The Baby for a change!
This sounds like an excellent plan to me! 😉
Are you going to introduce the Sprouts to Charlie while Mimosa is gone?
I did, very briefly a couple of times (pictures will be in tomorrow’s post.) There was less floofing than I expected, but Charlie wanted out of the room pretty quickly so there might have been a bigger reaction if he’d been in there longer.
