A few outtakes from the lined-up picture of the kittens that I shared on social media yesterday. These crack me UP.
Sundrop’s havin’ a starvation, and he doesn’t care who knows it.
Poppi joins in on the complaining.
Moxie has a thlurrrp while the others are very very serious.
A triple thlurrrp situation, while Fanta is all “I ain’t gonna thlurrrp, and you can’t make me.”
We’ve got a lights-on, no-one-home situation going on here with Moxie.
It’s hard to tell where Poppi ends and the cushion begins!
So does Fanta. What a lazy day!
Following the sun around the room. (I really wish the foster room – and my bedroom, for that matter – got more sun than it does.)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
11 weeks old! They’re going for their spay/neuters on Wednesday (and will come back here to recuperate. Mama Sodapop, of course, was spayed several weeks ago.) They grow so fast!
Sodapop has a moment of peace and quiet.

Sweet sleepy Fanta, and then Sundrop are all purrr purrr purrrrrrrr.
I wish I’d managed to get Moxie’s face in this picture, but alas. I’ve wanted to get a side-by-side shot of Poppi and Moxie’s tails to show how much they look alike. Poppi’s tail is like the dilute version of Moxie’s tail (and they are both ADORABLE.)

Sundrop being a goofball. That boy cracks me UP.
I could not find Fanta ANYWHERE, looked high and low for him, and was beginning to think he’d somehow escaped the upstairs, when I thought to look in the condo in the bottom of the cat tree, and there he was, all “What? Just takin’ a nap!”

2024: It took these kittens no time at all to find the top of my desk, and I am very glad that I already had the keyboard cover in place.
2023: No entry.
2022: I was going to tell the story about how Charlie ran face-first into the fence the other day, but in his defense there was a bird on the other side, so he wasn’t paying attention to the fence.
2021: And of course we know Whist by her tabby wings.
2020: So please know that what we want is what’s best for the kittens and cats we foster, we’re not just going about this willy-nilly.
2019: I myself know of no one who is ready, willing and able to adopt 7 cats at once and if you do, you might’ve mentioned that before now!
2018: Nope. Too early. Back to bed, innernets.
2017: No entry.
2016: I feel like Ken is trying to pick a fight here.

2011: Here at Crooked Acres, one must be properly attired when exploring. It’s one of the things I insist upon!
2010: What they didn’t address in that article is whether people who have cats are 30% MORE likely to have a stroke after they step in a cold pile of cat vomit in the middle of the night.
2009: Elijah and Phinneas would like you to know that it’s endlessly exhausting to be so cute.
2008: Pile o’ monkehs.

Fanta looks so grown up in that second to last photo (in this blog post), I had to check the copyright name. What a looker!
Someone has a squeaky purr, and I suspect it’s Fanta, he who’s been purring since he was a teeny tiny – that still amazes and delights me, by the way! He is going to be someone’s forever purrbaby, isn’t he? 😀
Veeeeery belatedly, regarding Sodapop and her boys going home together, I wondered for a second or two if the reference to having kittens to play with might’ve been a stealth suggestion of… but then I said nah, no way. So you got me!
I think you can actually see the brain cell leaving Fanta’s head in that first picture
