Daisy considers her life choices (and shows off those amazing paws).
Jay under the ham-mick being cute-cute-CUTE.
Zelda gives Jay the ol’ chomperoo.
I think it might shock you to know that Myrtle has opinions.
“Lady, you is weird,” says Zelda.
Nick takes a swipe at Mama’s tail and is just SO proud of himself.
Surprise! Daisy went yesterday for her spay surgery. I usually wait ’til the kittens are a bit older to have that done, but there was a spay/neuter day scheduled, there was room for Daisy, and I’ve seen all the kittens at least sniff at her food. They were fine without her for a few hours (I think it was 4 hours from the time I left the house with her, to the time I brought her back home). She will continue to produce milk, and the first thing she did when I got home with her, was to flop over and let the kittens nurse. (You and I might think that sounds painful, but it’s nearly always the first thing mother cats do after their spay. I think the mamas consider the oxytocin release when kittens are nursing to be worth the discomfort.)
I’m so glad to have that behind us – now I don’t have to worry about her going into heat, and there will be NO MORE KITTENS for that sweet girl. (She will be available for adoption in another month or so, but is staying with her kittens for now, of course. They still need their mama!)

This is Rocco’s favorite place/position, and it makes me laugh to see him out there like this.
(In case you missed it, Trixie and Rocco belong to a neighbor but spend a LOT of their life on our front porch. I don’t know why they love it so, there are only two towers with heated beds (when the weather is cold), plenty of places to lounge and watch the world, a window to watch us through, food during the day, and a gate across the doorway to the porch so that any roaming dogs cannot come onto the porch.)(I think it should be obvious that I am rolling my eyes here.)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Zelda the lapkitten shows off her toeses (not the greatest picture – I’m still working on capturing them in their full glory!)

Daisy’s kitten wash and milk bar emporium is open for business – seating is limited, better get moving!
Myrtle is NOT thrilled with the way the milk bar just up and walks away whenever it wants to. She might starve!

The milk bar’s getting a lot of business today!
Nick climbed right on into my lap, yes he did. 🥰
Good night innernets. (The Crate Catsbys)

As for Rocco’s chosen lounging position – what on earth, haha.
He is such a nut! 🙂
