Before we get to today’s post, the big news:
MOXIE AND POPPI ARE ADOPTION PENDING, TOGETHER.
I don’t believe there has EVER been THIS MUCH interest in one of my kittens. Before I even posted that Forgotten Felines was accepting applications for the kittens yesterday morning, people had started emailing. By noon, the number had reached double digits, every one of them for Moxie. To say that Brittany was overwhelmed by all the interest is putting it mildly. They’ll be joining a great family with some kitty friends and a wonderful human brother who, I suspect, is counting the days!
Oh, and lest I forget…
FANTA AND SUNDROP ARE ADOPTION PENDING, TOGETHER.
They’ll be joining a sweet family with a couple of cat-friendly dogs and some cat-friendly kids!
All the kittens are being spayed/neutered next Wednesday (the 23rd). Moxie and Poppi will be out of here the following week, and I’m not yet sure about Fanta and Sundrop, but I’m sure they won’t be far behind.
Sodapop is still available, if you’re interested, and is ready to go home right now – email Forgotten Felines at info (at) ffhsv.org if she seems like your kinda gal.

The other day I took my camera into the foster room to see if I could catch some good action pictures. Boy, did I!
Sodapop ready to catch that ping pong ball (and Fanta looking on in amazement.)
Fanta in the background, in motion. That boy cracks me UP.
Sundrop’s brakes are squealing.
“They’re crazy, lady.” Takes one to know one, kid!
Sodapop and Moxie. I love this shot so much!
Moxie grabbed that mouse toy, but here comes mama!
Sodapop ran over to the door and skidded to a stop, which startled Sundrop, who took off running.
Sodapop’s all “I’ve got it! I’ve got it!” (She didn’t.)
Fanta looks like a flying squirrel.
Sodapop’s got places to be! (On the couch with me.)
Sundrop skids to a stop. “Ooh, a track toy!”
Obviously I need to take the camera back in there when Poppi’s running and jumping! She mostly stayed out of the fray while I was taking these pictures, but that girl can run and leap with the best of them.

The truest sign of spring: Alice is out on the back porch!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) this weekend.
It’s a chatty Sodapop loaf (my favorite)!
Former foster alert! This time last year we were fostering this silly girl – Crumpet – and her 5 kittens. She continues to be a silly, playful girl who is very much adored in her forever home, and I LOVE it! ❤ (Thanks, Geeta!)

I have no idea how the kittens managed to make this happen – I clearly had no idea it was going on! – but watching it cracks me UP. “Your videos are old and tired, lady. We’re gonna make our own!”
Moxie and Sundrop show off their prettiest smiles.

I titled this one “Play time in the kitten foster room”, but let’s be honest: is it ever NOT play time in the foster room? NOPE.
It’s a sleepy Moxie pie with an equally sleepy Poppi on the side. Now that’s one floofy dish! (And also my favorite!)
Good night innernets. (Fanta and Sundrop loaf.) (My favorite!)
Little posers. On the upper shelf: Fanta & Moxie. On the lower shelf: Poppi & Sundrop. (Poppi and Sundrop were sitting on the lower shelf, so I put Fanta and Moxie on the upper shelf in hopes that I could get a cute picture. They didn’t stay long, but they stayed long ENOUGH!)
I brought this carrier into the foster room to put away, and Fanta immediately jumped in and said “Where we going?!”

The kittens pulled the mylar “bug” off the end of their (my?) favorite teaser, and it quickly became a favorite toy. Poppi’s having a blast!
Sundrop says “Mama, look! I am a fearsome beast! ROWR!” and Sodapop says “Uh huh, yeah, you sure are, honey, good for you! Now tell your sister to leave my tail alone.”

While Mama and the other kittens are running around playing, Sundrop is hanging out in the CatLadyBox, playing with the mylar “bug” that the kittens pulled off the teaser, and which has become an instant favorite toy!
I brought this cat tree into the foster room so I could move the other tall cat tree back to the window (and put this one under the cubby on the wall), and I barely got it through the door before the Quality Assurance committee came calling. (It met with their approval, thankfully.)
Good night innernets. (Moxie, Poppi & Sundrop)
(This was the post letting people know that the kittens are 10 weeks old and accepting applications – and Sodapop is still available.)
Fanta’s scheming, while Sundrop has nary a thought in his head.

Sodapop loves it when I toss ping pong balls for her, and I love watching her try to catch them (and sometimes succeeding.) It’s even better in slow motion!
Sundrop and Moxie are all “You wasn’t invited to this meeting, lady.”

Fanta is wearing his crazy pants. To be fair, Fanta wears his crazy pants pretty much 24/7. He makes me laugh every day, he’s such a little goober.
Good night innernets. (Moxie & Fanta)

Sodapop (mama) NOW needs a home!
So glad to hear these cuties are going to their forever homes in pairs! That made my Monday.
Now, where are YOU, Sodapop’s family?
I’m especially glad those sweet “brudders” are going off together!
Geeta,
thanks for the update! Crumpet is the picture of bliss.
Those are great action shots. I hope they help Sodapop find her forever home!
