Newer readers don’t know this – since I never mention it – but when Fred (aka my husband; the other part of the Love & Hisses fostering team) isn’t working or wrangling cats or sighing and rolling his eyes while holding a kitten for me to take pictures, he writes horror books. His latest book is NOW AVAILABLE! It is currently available only on Kindle/eBook, but the paperback version should be available by Thursday.
As mentioned: IT IS HORROR. It is occasionally GRAPHIC. Do not come crying to me if it gives you nightmares. I think it’s good (I say, with the caveat that OF COURSE I’M GOING TO SAY THAT), but I happen to like horror. (Of note: his books The Convert (one of my favorites) and No Limit are more thriller with paranormal aspects than horror. Or if you’re looking for something even grosser and more graphic, may I introduce you to last year’s release The Witch?)
(You can see a list of his other books here.)
*I’m just sharing this for anyone who might be interested. If you’re not, that is PERFECTLY fine, you don’t need to explain why. We’re good!

Bramble is practicing his staring-into-another-dimension skills.
Mondo is turning out to be QUITE the little poser.
Bramble’s whispering secrets to Mondo.
I love Kudzu staring off into space, and Bramble asleep on the milk bar.
Every day I am glad that Mimosa gave us a variety pack so they’re easy to tell apart.
Mimosa checks on the kittens from outside the crate.

Jake loves to walk along that ledge outside the screened porch. And he always acts guilty about it, like he thinks he’s not supposed to be doing that. (As far as I’m concerned, he can walk along the ledge all day long. It’s not hurting anything, he just has a guilty conscience.)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
I walked in and Hollyhock was lying there with her paws on her little face, and I might have squealed a little. OH that girl.
Mimosa does, indeed, still want (and get) belly rubs!

Wandering around the crate. The kittens are doing a really good job at walking. I mean, they’re still wobbly, but they’re getting their legs under them!

Kisses from Bramble. Like being kissed by an angel!
Mondo’s all “Watchin’ you, lady.”
Good night innernets. (Hollyhock is yawning, not hissing.)

Mama Mimosa is looking less like a wide load, lately. Have you weighed her recently? Maybe it’s the angle of the pic but when she’s sitting she doesn’t look as shapely.
The camera loves ya, baby!
Hi Robyn. Since you’ve been dropping facts about kittens (eyes, ears, claws), may I ask about tongues: are kitten tongues rough like those of adults? if not at this age, when do they ‘roughen’? Thanks.
How is Uncle Charlie? You haven’t shown any pictures of his beautiful face lately.
He was in Friday’s post. (He’s fine. 🙂 )
Congratulations to Fred. Whodathunk?
Horror isn’t my go to, so I’ll pass while wishing him much success!
