Look at these girls!
Debra said: For the last several nights, Stardust has curled up beside me to sleep at night, with Phoenix moving around a bit. BUT the good news is that I think she is pretty much back to normal. She does seem to have a tendency to hiss if she is startled by a sudden appearance of one of the other cats, though. I hope that will go away with time. She is playing and carrying around toys, playing with teasers, and chasing Phoenix and Amber around. And she squeaks! (what a cute voice!) And she purrs a lot! I am soooo happy!
I am so happy, too! (Thanks, Debra!)

The mamas were off taking a break, so I got to reach in and touch those kittens all I wanted. And I wanted!
To answer the question everyone is asking: yes, they’ll nurse on the mother who isn’t theirs. Here you’ll see Dean bellied up to Kristi, between two of her kittens.
Katarina, hanging out in the back of the crate with with an orange kitten.
“Granny, this lady is weird.”
“She certainly is, Torvill. She certainly is.”
Dean has discovered that there’s a world beyond the crate. I haven’t seen him trying to escape… YET.
Hanging out, doing the Mom thing.
One of Kristi’s kittens bellied up to the milk bar next to Dean. The size difference really is amazing.
I think it takes 2 ornj + 1 gray + 1 tuxie = 1 Torvill.
Have I mentioned that Katia adores her mother?
Kittens are doing well, mamas are doing well. I’m in negotiations with Fred to have a live feed camera (either via the Nest camera or via Facebook Live) in the room (pointing into the crate) for at least part of the day. He’s resistant, but I may be able to wear him down!

In the Dean as a bed pic… wow what beautiful swirls on the darker ornj kitten!! What a pretty pair of litters!!
Jakey is posing! Meeeow!
How you ever leave that room is beyond me. Not only are there kittens, there are 2 kitten litters at different ages. I never dared dream I’d be able to see 2 litters of kittens at different ages grow up – at the same time. I am complete.
Have you ever had a buff/white kitten before, like those 2 little jellybeans from Kristi’s litter?
So much goodness in this post, starting with Stardust getting back to her sweet self (yay Debra!!!), then make-your-teeth-hurt-sweet kittens and moms, and ending with dashing Jake!
Were Katia’s kittens larger at birth, since there were only four? Can we see side by side pictures of both litters right after birth, pretty please? 😀
You are loving the dream, Robyn — thanks for sharing this happy family with us!!!!!
The tiny puss curled into a tiny circle is the sweetest thing I have ever seen Torvill I love you.
Jake’s posing is gorgeous!
Yay for Debra and Stardust!
Yay for kittens! I know you are not naming them yet, but I personally am going to start referring to them in my head with names: Marshmallow(white), Smoky(grey), Orange(Ornj1), Marmalade(Ornj2), Tuxie, and Fluff(buff)
Posing, smiling Jake made my day!
Hi Jake!!!
It is funny….normally you see 2 week old kittens are all “tiny!!” then you see then against newborns and are all “holy heck” 🙂
Squee!!! That is all that needs to be said!
Katia may adore her mother but her mother looks likes she’s just putting up with Katia and her shenanigans. But then again, if you didn’t adore the heck out of someone you wouldn’t put up with shenanigans I suppose. LOL
If your mother doesn’t put up w your shenanigans, who will?
I just love that picture of Dean peeking out of the crate. I see mischief ahead, and very soon!
HA, okay third image of the kittens – THAT is exactly how i look/feel in the mornings.
Yay for kittens! And mothers and kittens are getting on in a big pile. This is wonderful mid-work-day entertainment as usual. 😀
So much kitten overload! So much adorable!
And HURRAY for Stardust and her new happy home.
yay stardust!
and oh man, the babies and mamas <3 <3
i don't know if i love torvil's white guardhairs or dean's wee black panfer nose better. and oh, the wee babies snuggling on the not so wee as the wee babies wee babies <3 <3 (why yes, i _have_ been reading the nac mac feegle books)
it's been a hard week amongst some of my cat loving friends; one kitty had dental surgery (but came through it just fine!) and one kitty who had fip died.
i am so grateful to you for posting your wonderful kitten photos and stories and big cat stories! thank you! <3
Robyn, You made it to Love Meow! http://www.lovemeow.com/mother-daughter-cat-baby-kitten-2550898321.html
Now even more people can enjoy the fun of these 2 cat moms as they co-mother their kittens.
I want to come to your house and sit down and have you hand me all the kittens to cuddle. Is that okay? 🙂
I had a neighbor that had three litters of kittens at once. Her boys loved me and would let me sit on their couch and pile on the kittens into my lap. I now know what heaven will be like! 😉
So many babies! So much cute! At least the orange ones seem to have different patterns, one classic and one mackerel, yes? Dean seems to have hidden stripes! I love how the momma’s are always looking into the camera in every picture. They are not taking their eyes off of you, are they? So much trust.. 😉
Jake! Looks like he’s taking his senior picture! Sweet loony boy!
That is a gorgeous picture of Jake! WOW!
Torvill is sooooo pretty!
I am soooooo happy for Stardust. Whatever happened to her will soon be like some B movie she watched long ago! She now has a wonderful momma and siblings!
Dean – What makes him look so cool and unique is the width of his nose and muzzle. I love his face!
