The kittens are 4 weeks old! Is it just me, or has this time flown by? They’re like real little cats now.
Here’s what they look like now:
I didn’t really have room to include their weights on this week’s photo collage, but they’re listed below. Everyone but Pablo is over a pound now, and I expect Pablo will be over a pound by next week.
Alejandro: currently 1 lb 2.4 ounces (birth weight: 5.1 ounces)
Pablo: 15.3 ounces (3.8)
Javier: 1 lb 2.3 ounces (4.7)
Carmelita: 1 lb 1.5 ounces (4.8)
Diego: 1 lb 2.7 ounces (4.1)
All the kittens are now wearing collars – Alejandro’s in orange, Pablo in purple, Diego in green, Javier still in yellow, and Carmelita still in pink.
I set up litter boxes yesterday morning, put Alejandro in one of them, and he promptly squatted and peed.
Later I put Carmelita in the litter box and she scratched around and whined a little, then after a few moments peed. None of the others used the litter box, but they’ve all been in (and gotten out on their own), so it’ll just be a matter of time.
I imagine the next week is going to be very exciting – this is generally about the time they start trying Mama’s food and figuring out the litter boxes and playing. Also… it’s about time for skitterbugging to start. I can’t wait!
“HI Mama!”
“Hi there, little whatsyerface.” (Pablo)
Alejandro, Javier and Diego go to see what’s got Mama so excited. (A plate of food, was the answer.)
“Lord help me when they start climbing.”
Alejandro in my lap directing me on how to take a proper selfie.
Annnd lying in my hand. That boy is livin’ the life!
Could Carmelita be any cuter? I think no.
Carmelita in my lap, looking like she’s not sure she meant to be there.
And giving Pablo the ol’ slurperoo.

4 weeks? Carmelita’s pink collar next to her black fur is very fashionable.
Yup. Definitely a bunch of little floofers. <3 These little guys are killing me with their cute.
These little beauties make me laugh out loud, they are so darn cute and your photos, Robyn, are the absolute best always!!
Alejandro is a handful!
Hurray for Alejandro and Carmelita!
I guess we have to brace ourselves for even more cuteness coming our way.
Ps. Whose photo is between “About Love & Hisses” and “Our Story” ?
I’m not sure who that was – and when I clicked on it to see if I could see it full-sized, it disappeared (so now Isabella and the kittens are there!) If I had to guess, I’d say maybe Sheila from The Rescuees.
Oops. Sorry that the photo disappeared on you. For some reason I thought that if could be Fleur.. Maybe because I found and started following you when Fleur and her siblings were born..
Thank you for trying.. Thank you for all you do. It takes a lot of dedication, love, patience and work.
It was definitely not Fleur – it was from before we moved here, so had to be before November 2017. I suspect I just put it there as a placeholder when I was setting up the FB page and intended to replace it at some point. Which I finally did, I guess! 🙂
Thank you thank you thank you for a little escape from the craziness and depressing news of the world… A bright welcome light in the darkness of today… Thank you..
