Back in the Cuties box, time to change out the crate pad for a clean one. They’re really filling up that box now.
Getting comfort from Mama. I love how Fizzbin’s sitting there like “Mama? I can get my bath next?”
“NO I AIN’T GOT NO EYES, LADY. STOP LOOKIN’!” yells Uno.
“That’s right,” says Slapjack. “I got two wide-open eyeballs. You got a problem with that?”
“You need something? Feeding the babies!”
That looks a little more comfy.
Look at Fizzbin in the middle of that cuddle puddle, looking like she’s not peeking up at me.
I’ve been picking up the kittens and holding them like this more and more often, and I put them back in the crate if they start fussing. Pinochle and Fizzbin handle it well, sniff me for a little while and then start crying for mama. Uno and Whist and Slapjack get screamy pretty quickly. Rummy can go either way, depending on her mood, I guess.

Yeah, sure, it LOOKS like Archie (on the pillow) and Charlie are snuggling. But what’s actually happening is that Charlie gets all up in Archie’s space, Archie gets annoyed after a few minutes and then stomps off, and then Charlie takes over that pillow.
Charlie looking pleased with his brilliant plan. Archie looking like he’d like to smack Charlie.

Archie and Charlie look like such a classic big brother/little brother pair. I almost expect Archie to start yelling “MOOOOOOM, make him stop!”
Archie puts up with Charlie MUCH more than I ever would have expected… but a boy’s got his limits. 🙂
Charlie’s no dummy. When he wants the pillow, he gets the pillow. Little brothers…
Oh man Robyn, you get to pick up tiny little baby kittens and cuddle them? Whenever you want?? Sure, you risk the wrath of Canasta, but totally worth it in my opinion.
That “I’ve been picking up the kittens…” paragraph is so interesting! I love those kind of details. Aww, those poor screamy babies… 🙂 Ah well, before we know it, they’ll probably be using you as a climbing post, huh!
No Slapjack, no problem at all. Love your eyes and crossed paws!
My sister’s male cat, Lola used to do that to Dude, her female cat. And Dude(female), used to lure me away from my seat (when I visited them). Being all cute and asking for a brushing, then when I was putting the brush away or getting up to go back to my seat, she’d be sitting there looking all smug that she ‘tricked’ me yet again!
Too smart, aren’t they!
