In case you missed it, on Saturday…
Sodapop AND Sundrop and Fanta were adopted (together) and went home! They now live about an hour from here, and their new family includes a very excited little girl, and her little sister, and a couple of cat-friendly dogs. I got word later in the day on Saturday that Fanta was already out exploring and Sundrop made a few forays out, too. I’m sure it won’t be long ’til they’re all OVER the place, having a blast.
And now I am pretty sure that I deserve a prize for the fact that I never once actually published a post or caption wherein I called Sundrop “Sungold,” because about 50% of the time that’s the word my fingers wanted to type. I must have deleted “gold” 100 times in the past three months.
Today’s post has the rest of the pictures I took which include Sodapop, Sundrop and Fanta. Such a photogenic trio!
Fanta, Moxie and Sundrop, taking in some sun and playing with the teaser.
Moxie and Fanta have a meeting.
Fanta under the pink Adirondack. Silly boy!
“We tryin’ to nap here, lady.” Fanta, Moxie and Poppi.
The foursome. Those ears are RIDICULOUS.
Poppi’s antennae is growing ever longer. The mothership must be getting closer. Beep boop!
I love that you can see Fanta’s face in the mirror.
“What you doin’ down there, lady?”
It’s a bath time pie. (My favorite!)
A last shot of the foursome. (I couldn’t convince Sodapop to take part.)
The house is definitely MUCH quieter with just the two girls here. They’ll be with us a couple more days and then head home.
I do NOT have any other fosters in the house, not hidden in the bathroom or my office or stashed in a closet or behind the refrigerator. Fred asked that we stick to one litter at time for the time being, and since he lives here and SUPPOSEDLY gets a say too, that’s how it’ll be.

Alice has a snooze in the big tree by the front window. I love seeing her in places other than curled up in her pink cube on her heated bed. Like I’ve said: seeing Alice out and about is the surest sign of spring!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
I said “Group photo! Line up, you guys!” And they did (once I started waving the teaser around, that is.)
Did you know that these former (bottle baby) fosters are now somehow TWO? They just celebrated their 2nd birthday (happy birthday, girls!!) and look how gorgeous they are!
Nicole says: These silly girls are TWO! Can you believe it? We wanted to purrsonally send you an update on the kitten heads formerly known as as Plover/Tater and Starling, now Raven and Elaine. Raven is our fluffy ditz who enjoys comfy pillows and window beds, all sorts of pets, and her crunchy kibble. Elaine is our sturdy tabby girl who likes to lay near enough to get head and chin scritches, and flops down on the floor for belly scrumbles. They both love the 7yo and charge into her room at bedtime and first thing in the morning to be part of the routines. We can’t thank you enough for the love and care you gave them that allowed us to make them part of our family! 😻😻
I will forever remember Raven dancing around chasing dust motes, and how Elaine was the SLOWEST eater ever. So adorable, then and now! And you can follow them on Facebook here. (Thanks, Nicole!)

Poppi drags the teaser into the room, chased by Sundrop. Then along comes Moxie and says “I’ll take that!” and runs off with it. She doesn’t get far, though – Sundrop grabs it, and then along comes Fanta. Fun for everyone!
My goodness these four can pose like nobody’s business! (Poppi in the background of Sundrop’s picture is cracking me UP.)

Sundrop and Fanta were playing and then Sundrop did a sideways skitter that led to them LEAP!ing up into the air at each other. So I copied it and slowed it down and added it to the end so we could all properly enjoy it – and what I find most interesting is that it wasn’t until I slowed it down that I realize they leapt AT each other, but actually didn’t make contact. Kind of neat!
Fanta strikes a pose (and as SOON as I took this picture, I rushed over to kiss his adorable little face, of course.)
Good night innernets. (Sundrop & Moxie loaf – my favorite!)
The kittens are 12 weeks old (tomorrow)! This is what they look like this week – not a lot of change from last week (and the week before). So grown up!

The kittens are 12 weeks old (tomorrow), and I’ve put their weekly pictures in one short video (backed by the sound of Fanta and Sundrop purring.) They grow so fast!
Hooray, hooray, Sodapop AND her boys Sundrop and Fanta were adopted (yes, all three together) today! They’re headed home about an hour from here, with a family that includes a VERY excited little girl, her little sister, and a couple of cat-friendly dogs. They’ll keep their names, and we’ve been promised updates. Happy lives, sweet babies! 🧡🧡🧡
Don’t worry about Moxie and Poppi – they watched their mother and brothers leave, shrugged, sniffed where the strangers had sitting, and have been curled up together alternately napping and watching birds. They’ll be with us a few more days before they head home, so maybe they’ll meet Uncle Charlie! (But ONLY if they want to, and only under supervision.)
Poppi slept like an angel on her basket of toys.

Yesterday mama Sodapop and her sons Sundrop (orange and white) and Fanta (flame point) were adopted – yes, all three together! – and went home about an hour from here. They join a wonderful family that includes a very excited little girl, her little sister, and some cat-friendly dogs. I got an update yesterday afternoon that Fanta was already being brave and exploring; I’m sure his mama and brother won’t be too far behind!
Here’s their video from when they joined us on February 3rd (the boys were just 1 day old) until we said goodbye to them yesterday.
Moxie’s all “Oooh, this smells INTERESTING.” (Those aren’t Ears of Annoyance, they’re Ears of Concentration. Or maybe Ears of Gettin’ High off a Catnip Toy.)
Time to do a little exploring! (Permanent resident kitties Uncle Charlie, Uncle Khal and Auntie Alice are all out on the screened in porch enjoying the warm weather, so the girls won’t run into any scary cats just yet.)
