Another snooze, this time with Poppi.
It cracks me up when they (it’s usually the boys) hang out under the pink Adirondack.
His feet sticking out kills me.
My office assistants, assisting. Or snoozing on the job. Same thing!
Poppi, Sundrop and Moxie were sleeping when I walked into the room, but they always wake up fast when they hear me.
Playing with the dangly mouse toy.
They love this thing… and then they get bored and wander off. Ah, kittens.
It’s crazy how grown up they look all of a sudden! (Sundrop & Fanta)
The kittens are off for their spay/neuter surgeries today. I expect we’ll be back home by early afternoon, just in time to take a long afternoon nap!

“Someone needs to mow this lawn, lady. I don’t know who’s gonna do it, I just know it won’t be ME.”

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
Okay, I’ve been trying and trying to get good pictures of Poppi’s back and sides so y’all can see her faint orange patches, and this is the best I’m going to get. Most of the spots of color on her body are a creamy orange (I assume they’ll get darker as she gets older.) And it doesn’t show up that well, but she’s started to get some light gray on her face. Also, of course, the dark gray spots on her feet. She is one interesting girl!
Former foster update! We fostered calico Opal (then Myrtle) and her sister Ruby (then Zelda), daughters of Daisy, back in 2023. This is what they look like at 2 years old – aren’t they gorgeous?
Maureen says:
I have really been enjoying looking at pictures of my cats from 2 years ago when you were caring for them as new baby kittens on your website.
Recently, they had their 2nd birthday and are doing great! Their dog brother, Boo, who turns 15 tomorrow, is probably still alive due to their wonderful company each day. He loves them almost as much as I do. Opal has me trained to give treats on her largest cat tree every morning and her girth shows as much. We are playing more and having less treats to keep her healthy. Ruby is a real snuggle bug and loves to cuddle and be petted. When the grand kids come to visit, Ruby goes into hiding, but Opal will come out and visit & “ chat”. Thanks again for allowing me the privilege of adopting the girls and letting them become members of our family…we are so blessed to have them.
(Thanks Maureen!)

We have a leaping kittens video! Sundrop and Poppi will climb to the top of that scratcher and then jump to the bed with very little encouragement. (Fanta and Moxie aren’t interested in leaping just yet.) Watch Poppi and Sundrop leap once in regular time, and once in slow motion.
Moxie says “Well HELLO ceiling fan. Where ya been all my life?!”

Sundrop loves that dangly mouse toy so much!
Might as well flaunt ’em while you’ve got ’em, kid. (Fanta)

Sodapop shows off her excellent moves. That girl LOVES a ping pong ball!
Good night innernets! (Sundrop)
