A bunch more holiday cards came in the mail! They’re scanned and posted – see them at Flickr, here, or scroll through them below! (Did I mention that y’all send the best cards? True story!

Waffle, Muffin (former foster Ouiser) and Maple (former foster Dillydally) came to stay with us last week while their people were out of town! I decided that this time they could have the foster room, because I was pretty sure Tina would have an OPINION if she couldn’t sit in the window in my office and keep an eye on the birds. So Waffle, Muffin and Maple were in the foster room and Tina, Carmy and Richie were in my bedroom at night, with a little extra room (the bathroom and hallway) during the day. I worried that Tina would be talkative at night, but that girl was an ANGEL. She did try to lead me to the closed door of the foster room several times to let me know that something was amiss, but overall it was a pretty relaxed week.
Waffle briefly wore a holiday tie, and was all “I make this look GOOD.”
Muffin was concerned about performing her reindeer duties, but I have it on good authority that she did a great job.
And Maple was all “Wrap all the tinsel garland around me that you want, just GIVE ME THE CHURU.”
King Waffle stayed a little bit hidden under the big cat tree for the first day or so.
Muffin’s default is to hide under the blanket hanging down off the front of the couch.
And of course Maple was shy, as usual.
Muffin remembered those mirrors!
And there’s NO doubt that Maple remembered the Churu desk.
“MY GOODNESS, that is one good-lookin’ fella,” thought Waffle.
For the life of me, I could not get all three of them to line up for Churu. Waffle and Maple were fine with having Churu on the desk, but I think it made Muffin nervous. So she got hers on the floor.
Carmy and Richie were VERY interested in what was going on in the foster room. So I let them in to see!
I opted NOT to bring Tina into the room – I knew that Carmy and Richie would be on edge, would floof up and hiss, and Tina still has that protective instinct – she’s tired of her kittens, but will come running to protect them if they cry – and I didn’t feel comfortable letting her in with them. In retrospect, I could have let her in the room without the kittens, but I think that Carmy and Richie crying outside the door would have had her on edge. So really, I just didn’t want to chance it. I had a mesh fireplace screen standing across the doorway when I went in and out and Tina saw Maple a few times. She was curious and a little puzzled, but she was also not particularly interested in getting in there, either.
As expected, the boys floofed.
Carmy mostly stayed by the door, but Richie was interested in checking out the litter box situation. I love that Maple (on the couch), Muffin (on the floor below Maple) and Waffle were just sitting there watching him.
Maple and Muffin were hissy, but Waffle mostly seemed curious.
One visit was all Carmy was really interested in, but Richie was more curious. I think all told, Richie had another three visits by himself. He never wanted to stay long, but he would go in, sniff around, look at the cats, and then head for the door.
Muffin put on her floof suit because she’s a LAYDEE and likes to be properly dressed.
This was the last visit – note that Maple and Muffin are not floofed, but Richie is, a bit.
Pictures do NOT do Waffle justice. He is simply fabulous.
Muffin really liked that Christmas tree bed. (She is just a DOLL, that girl.)
Maple is such a silly, confident girl. She didn’t hide for one moment!

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) this weekend.
A little snuggle time with Richie. ❤️
Tina’s all “Don’t tell those rotten boys where I am, I want some quiet time to myself.”

Richie finds out that if you mess with the bull, you get the horns!
Good night innernets. (Richie (left) and Carmy)
Carmy’s having a hard time getting going this morning and reckons he’ll just stay in bed, thanks.
I think Richie has a crush on former fosters Cinna and Linny (the Cookie Girls.)

Maple (former foster Dillydally), Muffin (former foster Ouiser) and Waffle came to stay for Christmas while their people were out of town! (They went home this morning.) Of course I took a ton of pictures, but only a little video – I’ll share more pics in Monday’s blog post. They are very polite houseguests and get an A+++, two thumbs up, five star rating. (They are SO SWEET.) (And yes, they met Carmy and Richie!)
Good night innernets. (Richie, Tina & Carmy)
It’s a Carmy loaf with a Mr. Rattie garnish! (My favorite!)
Tina’s all “Whatcha doin’ in there, lady?” (Just sitting and watching Carmy and Richie play, nothing exciting or unusual!)

Tina shows off a few fancy moves. That girl cracks me UP.
