Time to let me know if you want a holiday card, with this year’s featured Crooked Acre permanent resident! Go here to Postable, enter your name and address, and your card will be on the way soon. I am happy to send cards to other countries, this is NOT limited to U.S. residents. (Side note: if you’re in Canada, please still feel free to submit your address. I’ll hang onto your card and mail it once the strike is over!) If you have any problems, drop me an email and I’ll do my best to fix it. I’ll take names and addresses until December 20th.
If you’d like to send me a card as well (never ever required, but always appreciated – I don’t keep track of who does or doesn’t send a card, I promise!), send it to:
Robyn Anderson
1260 US HWY 72E, STE B #130
Athens, AL 35611 USA
(PS: If that link doesn’t work for you, or you prefer not to enter your info (I delete your name and address once I’ve downloaded it), you can email me instead.)

I put the dangly mouse toy in the other doorway and it works just as well there.
They have SO much fun with that thing.
Carmy critiques Richie’s jumping form and finds it lacking.
And Carmy does some loafin’! (My favorite!)

I hope that some day Khal can figure out how to relax.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
The Chef Shrimpy’s truck is back in business, and today’s special – created by Chef Tina herself – is the mouse fricassee with a side of green beans. It’s a taste sensation, for sure!

I mentioned last week that when Carmy was neutered, it was discovered that he was cryptorchid – had 1 undescended testicle – and that the vet had to do an abdominal incision to locate the wayward cojone. I decided we needed a song. Fred created this song using Suno AI
It cracks me up that the only way they get up on top of that cat tree is by jumping from the end of my desk. Your average kitten might climb up the tree, but not these guys! (Tina jumps from my desk, too.) That’s Richie in the cat tree, and Carmy checking from my desk to see if there’s room.

Every time I go ANYWHERE near the Churu desk, all three of them are CERTAIN it’s time for Churu even when they cannot possibly be hungry. And they are PASSIONATE in their declarations that it’s Churu time (but they give up pretty quickly, too.)

Previously
2023: I haven’t seen anyone actually playing with Mister Frog, but he travels around the room a lot, so SOMEONE must be.

2021: No entry.
2020: Napping with kittens.
2019: I also printed this bee butt picture, which I took when we lived at Crooked Acres.
2018: Tank and LoJack ready to nap – with LoJack in mid-flop.
2017: Tour of Shady Cove.
2016: Nothing personal, Archie, but you could use some work on your nap time companion skills. Step one: more snuggling, less personal space.
2015: But Alice is like “::FUME:: Look at her standing there in the middle of the room LIKE SHE OWNS THE PLACE.”
2014: The ear of (slight) annoyance.
2013: More attitude from the Carm.
2012: They sniffed around wildly for a while, and then decided it was okay, this strange room where (they seemed to think) they’d never been before.
2011: Gracie is a good watchdog.
2010: No entry.
2009: Look at him, looking so innocent when he was JUST biting that tail right in front of him and making his sister cry!
2008: No entry.
2007: “How ’bout you rub the belly instead?”
2006: Noelle with troll hair.
2005: No entry.
