Time to let me know if you want a holiday card, with this year’s featured Crooked Acre permanent resident! Go here to Postable, enter your name and address, and your card will be on the way soon. I am happy to send cards to other countries, this is NOT limited to U.S. residents. (Side note: if you’re in Canada, please still feel free to submit your address. I’ll hang onto your card and mail it once the strike is over!) If you have any problems, drop me an email and I’ll do my best to fix it. I’ll take names and addresses until December 20th.
If you’d like to send me a card as well (never ever required, but always appreciated – I don’t keep track of who does or doesn’t send a card, I promise!), send it to:

(PS: If that link doesn’t work for you, or you prefer not to enter your info (I delete your name and address once I’ve downloaded it), you can email me instead.)

My laundry helpers like to swat at each other through the holes in the laundry hamper before they do any actual work.
And then they like to roll around in the warm laundry which, well, can you blame ’em?
And THEN of course it’s time for a Churu break.
Oh those faces. I just want to pick ’em up and kiss them each 1 million times.
Richie with the Concentration Ears and the Grabby Paws is cracking me up.
Richie still had some energy to burn, so I put up the dangly mouse toy for him to play with. (They all like it, but Richie is a particular fan.)
Carmy had some quiet time to reflect on the week ahead.
And then they had to keep an eye on the bird feeder.
The laundry did eventually get folded and put away, no thanks to THOSE little slackers.

Alice has such a grumpy little face, but I swear she was happily hanging out in her Halloween house with not a care in the world.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) yesterday.
These slackers are having a hard time getting going this morning. (Richie on the scratcher (top of the picture), Tina in the middle, and Carmy on the pile o’ blankets.
Richie’s all “Laundry’s done, man.”
“It’s nap time, lady,” says Carmy.

Tossing toys for (and AT) the kittens. When I get a toy IN the box, it’s a miracle, and it cracks me up just how puzzled they are. Also, I manage to hit Richie in the face with a toy mouse, and yes you’ll be seeing that in the next slow-motion video in a few days. (Richie was unharmed, and in fact I’m not sure he even noticed he was hit in the face.)
Good night innernets. (Richie (left) and Carmy)
It’s cold here this morning and there’s no better way to warm up than to grab a Richie loaf (my favorite!) for breakfast.
Carmy in the sunshine. ☀️ (Those sparkles on the wall are from the sun hitting the suncatcher hanging in the window, and I always think of it as Natalie checking in. ❤️)

Just a quick little video so that you can hear Carmy’s sweet voice. The way his and Richie’s tails go up when I speak to them is one of my favorite things.
We had an asian lady beetle flitting around the room, and Tina was trying to decide whether she wanted to chase it. (She ultimately opted not to.)
Good night innernets. (Carmy (left) and Richie.)
Richie and Tina were jumping up after the dangly mouse toy (which hangs from the doorway on a bungee cord) and Carmy came over to show off his Ears of Annoyance and his curled tail.
Richie (left) and Carmy took a moment out from play time to see if there was some Churu coming their way. (There was not, so they continued playing.)

Tossing toys for the kittens and Tina – and I got TWO in the box, so clearly I deserve some sort of medal or statue for my toy-tossing prowess.
Someone’s gotta keep an eye on the birds, and Tina nominates herself.

First everyone ignores me, and then Tina goes ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM.
