In case you missed it on social media yesterday, Tina is still available for adoption. I misunderstood that there were two applications – there were two inquiries, but only one of those filled out an application. It was a great home, but wasn’t quite the right fit for Tina – Michelle will likely match them to a cat who’s more what they’re looking for – so she remains available.
She knows her family is out there and wishes they’d hurry it up. ‘Til then, she’s gonna keep an eye on the birds who visit that bird feeder.
If you think YOU might be her people, drop an email to Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org (there’s a longer description down in the social media section if you’d like to know more about her.)
My assistant thinks we need a Churu break.
Sydney keeps an eye on Uncle Khal.
Then goes to the pie plate and sniffs around while keeping an eye on him.
Carmy comes wandering through.
Jeff dares to approach Uncle Khal and give him the ol’ snifferoo. (When Khal turned to look at him, Jeff skittered away.)
Then he gives Auntie Alice a look-over. (He did not sniff her.)
Sydney and Uncle Charlie regard each other. (I love that her tail is up. She’s still a bit hissy, but her heart isn’t in the hissin’ any more.)
The pic is blurry, but I love that I caught her with both back feet off the floor.
They always end up on the big cat tree.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr/ Bluesky) this weekend.
A tail (ha ha) of two noses. Carmy (top) and Richie.
Former foster Meander is here to snoopervise, and she recommends that you stop fooling around and get back to work! (Thanks Sharon!)

Sydney was sitting on my keyboard protector, so I put on a video for her (of Tater playing last year) and I swear at one point it looks like Tater is looking at Sydney!
A reminder that the 2025 Love & Hisses calendars are available for purchase at Zazzle! Check ’em out here.

With her milk dried up, Tina has become more of a playmate to the kittens than a snuggly mama. I love seeing her and Carmy chase each other back and forth!
A little snuggle time with Tina. She looks so serious, but she’s purring like crazy here.
Good night innernets. (Jeff, belly-up, and Carmy, keeping watch.)
A Sydney-Mr. Rattie pie to start the day? (My favorite!) Yes, please!

A video with Alice (who we call “Alice Mo the calico”, which obviously gets shortened to “Mo”) lodging a little complaint, and then Alice and Sydney, who is just RUDE.
It’s a Carmy loaf, which you will be surprised to hear is MY FAVORITE.

The kittens get to meet one of Tina’s favorite toys, the dangly mouse toy (a toy mouse hanging on a stretchy cord, hanging from the doorway.) They think it’s pretty cool! (Note: this is a great toy, but I recommend NEVER letting cats play with it unsupervised. When I’m not in the room, the toy goes into a drawer.)
Good night innernets. (Sydney & Jeff)
Former foster Kristi, who we fostered in 2018 and was finally adopted last week, is doing GREAT! Julea says: “Kristi, now Kristia Rose, is settling in well, especially for a 13 year old. She’s sleeping on our bed at night, VERY talkative, sits beside me and is really thinking HARD about sitting on my lap. I even saw her playing with toys yesterday! She likes Kevin too and is comfortable around him; Maggie Grace, our other FFelines senior kitty, is not sure about her, but they aren’t fighting, just keeping their distance. She has come a long way in a week and we are so glad to have her as part of our family!” (Thanks, Julea!)
Happy happy 2nd birthday to Lincoln (gray with white nose and bib), and Lillian (all gray), who we fostered in early 2023 (Lillian was Lilly)!
Melinda reports: Lincoln and Lillian are two wow!! Lillian is just a purring, biscuit making, lap baby princess who is always trying to get into places that are off limits. She honestly gets called baby girl, princess, sister, and sissy more than her name lol. Lincoln is just a sweetheart. He is my little buddy. Still the most skittish cat I’ve ever had but he sleeps right next to me most nights and loves to have his chest scratched. His addiction to Indiana [their floofy black and white brother] is still strong. I’m so so glad I took the epic road trip to bring them home. I can’t imagine life without them 😻😻😻
When I mentioned how much I LOVE how Lincoln adores his big brother, Melinda told me That love was instant with him. And Indiana has become quite the family protector. He was always sorta protective of me but that protectiveness has increased with the addition of Lincoln and Lillian How SWEET is that? SO sweet! (Thanks Melinda!)
(PS: You can see Lincoln, Lillian and Indiana here on Facebook)

Tossing ping pong balls for Carmy and Jeff.
It turns out that I misunderstood; there were two inquiries about Tina, but only one person actually filled out the application. It wasn’t really the right fit (it’ll be a good home, likely for another Forgotten Felines of Huntsville cat), so Tina remains available. Read her description (below) and email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG to inquire.
Tina (DOB 8/14/23) came to us from Huntsville Animal Services. Along with her came her three tiny kittens, Sydney, Richie and Jeff. We had a kitten, Carmy, who had tragically lost his mother and needed a mother and siblings; Tina and her kittens fit the bill. Tina didn’t hesitate to take on Carmy and care for him as one of her own. She did a wonderful job with him – with them all – and now it’s time for her to find her forever home where SHE can be the baby!
Tina is a very sweet, friendly, playful and talkative girl. She is tiny at just over 6 1/2 pounds, but is loaded with personality. (She is very small-framed, so it’s likely she’ll stay small.) She’s got opinions and isn’t afraid to share them. She tends to be more talkative in new situations and quieter once she’s more comfortable, but if she wants something she is more than happy to let you know about it. She’s super playful, enjoys jumping and running and chasing ping pong balls. She loves to bat spring toys around and she looooves catnip toys. She likes to be picked up and held on your shoulder and petted, she likes to sit next to you or in your lap and be petted, and… well, she just likes to be petted! She enjoys watching birds out the window, sitting in the sun, and keeping you company. She would be okay as an only cat, or – if introduced properly and very slowly – would likely be fine joining a home with another cat or cats. She has been spayed, vaccinated, and ID chipped, and is ready to go now.
We are located in Huntsville, Alabama; out of area adoptions are allowed, but adopters must come here to complete the adoption since we haven’t perfected our cat-delivery drone yet.
Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at INFO (at) FFHSV.ORG to inquire!
