Something caught Jeff’s attention while he was startin’ something with Gumby.

Newt has a snooze. Pardon the dirty blanket (we’ve had rain, and Newt likes to go outside and inspect the puddles, get his feet dirty, and then tromp all over the bed… which is one reason why that blanket is there!

Look who’s 6 weeks old! That crown has gotten so much smaller, hasn’t it? Must’ve shrunk in the wash.
Carmy weighs 1 pound, 11.1 oz/ 768.27 g as of last night. He’s lapping formula from a plate (instead of being syringe fed it by me) in addition to nursing, and I think he’s on the cusp of being interested in solid food. (I would have expected him to start eating off of Tina’s plate in this last week, but not yet.) (No, I am not concerned. Bottle baby Wren, from last year, didn’t show interest in solid food ’til she was almost 8 weeks old.)

For the most part, mama Tina is handling having the kittens out of the crate really well. But when Sydney is ALL THE WAY on the other side of the room, it’s time for a very stern lecture!
Turns out Carmy figured being 6 weeks old meant it must be time for solid food!

The kittens are expanding their territory and finding all the fun stuff the room has to offer (at least on this side of the room.) They’ve discovered the Fruitasan, the mushroom scratcher, and they’ve been using the litter boxes reliably for several days now.
I told Jeff I was going to come over there and kiss him, and he was all “I DARE YOU.” (So I did.)

Carmy is a busy, busy boy – tussling with Sydney, harassing a sleepy Jeff, taking a swipe at Richie. The boy is all go-go-go!
Tina’s providing a healthy and nutritious milk bar for Richie and a bath for Sydney. She’s a multi-tasker!
