How much do wee baby kitties eat? I’m sure it’s like little humans in that it’s a small amount at first and gradually increases.
I have this feeding chart taped to the wall in my kitchen (near the counter where I feed bottle babies when we have them). As a newborn, I was aiming to get about 5 ml of formula into him at each feeding – and lucky for me, he was a great eater and though he didn’t hit the mark every time, he would eat 3 or 4 ml at one feeding and then, like, 10 at the next so it all worked out. And yes, as they grow they require more. I was trying to get Carmy switched over to a bottle – the nipples I use can be used on syringes or bottles – but for some reason he did NOT want the bottle, only the syringe. I’m sure I would have eventually convinced him to switch over, but fortunately along came Tina and I didn’t have to.

I wonder how Carmy is with his siblings? 🙂
Like they’ve been together their entire lives!

You can actually see all 4 kittens here! From left: Jeff, Carmy, Richie & Sydney.
If it weren’t for her tail next to Tina’s front leg, I wouldn’t have even seen Sydney there. She really BLENDS!
It’s a rough life for these kittens.

Occasionally, during his strolls from one end of the house to the other, Rocco likes to flop down in the kitchen and wait to see if food will fall from the sky for him. Hope springs eternal.

Tina and Sydney have a snuggle. (Yeah, I know Sydney really blends in. You’ve gotta look close!)
Former foster update! This sweet boy (in the red collar) is Roger, who was one of Jocasta’s kittens (well, one of her add-ins!) back in 2022. Sarah reports that he is doing great – “We got a puppy earlier this year. Roger and the puppy have become best friends! They chase each other and he loves to rub around her legs. Also, I remember you saying he loves to play with other cat’s tails. Well, he hasn’t stopped. He bats at his brother’s tail, his old poodle brother’s nub tail, and the new puppy’s tail. It helps that the puppy’s tail is very fluffy! I’ll try to get a video to send to you.” How adorable is that? ❤️
(Thanks Sarah!)

Tina says “YOU NO TOUCH DA KITTENS, LADY!… but you may pet me.”
It’s dangerous to go alone – take this with you! (Richie)

Throw Back Thursday: from 4 years ago (!), Rochefort was da BAYbee!
Good night innernets. (Tina reports that Richie makes an excellent pillow, and Sydney is a very comfy arm rest.)
