In case you missed it, we had THREE adoptions over the weekend. First to go home…
Dillydally! She is now Maple, and she joins big sister Muffin (former foster Ouiser) and big brother Waffle (as well as doggy sister Lexi and three human sisters!) You can follow them on Facebook and on Instagram. Things are going great!
Second to go home…
Meander! She went to Lexington, Kentucky to join former foster Mollie (who was Millinocket, one of our Mainers in 2018.) Mollie was adopted with her brother Dexter, and Dexter passed away earlier this year. Mollie needed a friend, and I believe Meander is just the girl for the job. Meander is now Willow (which I think suits her perfectly.)
And less than an hour later…
Bolt! She went locally and joined former fosters Nala (then Kes) and Sarabi (then Troi), who were not sure what to think about this little interloper.
Nala said “Oh, no thank you!” (The white cat is a temporary houseguest and will be moving out when her people do.)
Sarabi sniffed Bolt, and then gave me this look, which made me laugh.
Bolt is remaining Bolt! And I’m sure she and her big sisters will be friends before long.
Skip, Lollygag, Skitter and Mosey are still with us until this weekend, when they’ll go home in pairs (Skip & Lollygag together, and Skitter & Mosey together.)
The rest of the pictures I took of Dillydally, Meander and Bolt while they were with us are in this post. There are a bunch, sorry about the flood – but y’know. They’re a very good-looking bunch!
I did not take very many pictures of Meander during her stay in the dining room. The light downstairs isn’t the greatest, and so I slacked. This is her, looking past me at Charlie who was walking by the door.
Trying SO HARD to make friends with Alice.
And having a little pie time. (Yes, I sent it home with her.)
Bolt in the heart basket, havin’ a think.
Ooh, Dillydally pie. (My favorite!)
Skitter, Lollygag and Bolt (and Mosey in the back) snuggle up for a nap.
This was one of the carriers I used to take the kittens on occasional drives (so they’d be used to being in carriers, and being in a car), and clearly they are not scared of being in a carrier at all. (Skitter, Dillydally and Mosey)
Dillydally out cold (you can see a bit of her shaved belly.)
Bolt says “I’m a shark! Rowr!”
Bring on the Churu! (From left: Lollygag, Bolt, Skip, Skitter, Mosey, Dillydally.)
Dillydally and the floppity fish. (I did not send it home with her – they’ve got floppity fish there, too.)
“What doin’, lady?” Bolt wonders.
Think there’s a feather teaser up there?
Skip, Dillydally and Mosey were hanging out on the couch and Mosey was doing his best to fall off. Dillydally was keeping him in place.
Dillydally and Bolt strike a pose.
Uncle Charlie came for a short visit, and Bolt put on her floof suit.
That is one fabulously floofed-up tail!

Old man Newt really enjoys that big soft bed, and he doesn’t care who knows it.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) this weekend.
Breakfast is served! From the top right (purple collar) and going clockwise: Skitter, Mosey, Skip, Bolt, Dillydally and Lollygag.
Excellent news: they finally trapped this sweet calico, who was mama to Huey, Dewey and Louie, the Ducklings! If you’ll recall, they’d been trying to catch her for a long time, but she’s a wily one. FINALLY they trapped not only her, but her two kittens, who are just a few weeks old. They are all at Michelle’s house (together) now. No more kittens for this sweet mama! (And no, I will not be fostering them.)
Hooray, hooray, Dillydally was adopted today! She joins a family that includes former foster Muffin (Ouiser, from the Magnolias2023) and floofy big brother Waffle (and three very sweet human sisters!) Her new name is MAPLE – and we get to watch her grow and get to know her new siblings on Facebook and Instagram! Happy life, sweet girl. 🧡

Skitter’s making sure that Skip stays clean. (They keep taking their collars off, so Skitter has a purple spot in his ear, and Skip has a green spot in his ear. I feel like I could probably tell who’s who at this point, but I am still not 100% on that, so I’d rather be safe!)

Looks like we’ve got a couple of baybees here. (Bolt, left, and Skitter)
Breakfast is served! From the top right going clockwise: Lollygag, Mosey, Skitter, Skip and Bolt.
Line ’em up! Bolt, Skip, Skitter, Mosey and Lollygag.

Yesterday Dillydally (now Maple!) was adopted and went home to join her new family, which includes Muffin (former foster Ouiser) and big brother Waffle. Here’s the video of some of my favorite pictures of her, from birth to adoption day.
Hooray, hooray, Meander was adopted today! She is headed home to Lexington, Kentucky – where she will join former foster Mollie (formerly Millinocket*) and big brother Angus. Her new name is Willow. Happy life, sweet girl! ❤️
*Mollie was adopted as a kitten along with her brother Dexter; Dexter passed away earlier this year, and Mollie has needed a friend. This is definitely a job for Meander – I suspect they will be the very best of friends before long!
Hooray, hooray, Bolt was adopted today! She joins previous fosters Nala (formerly Kes) and Sarabi (formerly Troi), and I predict they’re going to have SO much fun together. She is keeping her name! Happy life, sweet girl. ❤️
Good night innernets. (Skip, Skitter & Mosey. Lollygag was sleeping on the other side of the room.)
Breakfast is served! From the top left & going clockwise: Skip, Lollygag, Skitter and Mosey.
“LADY, there is only 4 of us now, how are we supposed to keep the food truck running?!”
From left: Skitter, Mosey, Skip and Lollygag. These 4 will be with us until next weekend, and then they’ll go home in pairs (Skitter & Mosey, and Skip & Lollygag. And hey – I just noticed that they’re lined up next to the kitten they’ll go home with. I wish I could say that was intentional, but I literally just noticed it.)

Meander was adopted yesterday and went home to Lexington, Kentucky where she joined former foster Mollie (then Millinocket), who lost her brother Dexter (also our former foster) a few months ago, and who very much needs a friend. Meander is now Willow, and I think she will be a wonderful friend for Mollie!
Here’s her video of some of my favorite pictures while she was with us. She is just the sweetest girl!
I was clearing off the top of my dresser, put this picture on my bed, and Mosey came along to keep it warm. Because he’s a helper!

Bolt was adopted yesterday, and went to join former fosters Nala (then Troi) and Sarabi (then Kes), who were part of our Trekklings litter last year. She is keeping her name, and I suspect that before long she and her big sisters will get into all sorts of shenanigans!
Here’s her video of some of my favorite pictures from the day she was born to the day she was adopted.
Good night innernets. (Lollygag)
