Ciabatta’s all “What’s that you’ve got, lady? Is it…”
Pita with the Precious Moments eyes.
Looks like Pumpernickel’s ready for nap time.
Crouton’s hanging out in the tent, and Ciabatta’s trying to take it DOWN.

It amazes me that they continue to all fit at the milk bar at the same time.
Lollygag and Bolt have a tussle.
“You know what, lady?” says Skip.
“Hi Mama!” (Notice that Lollygag is right behind him.)
They stayed out of the crate, they bellied up to the milk bar, they took a nap, and later on they went back into the crate. They actually were NOT the first to leave the crate (while I was in there, at least) – earlier in the day, Mosey came out, looked around, and went back in. If I had to make a prediction, I’m going to predict that by the weekend they’ll all be in and out of the crate regularly, and maybe early next week they’ll be out of the crate all the time. And I wouldn’t be surprised if, by Monday, I’m reporting that they’ve used the litter boxes (that I’ll be putting out for them this weekend.)
No matter how many litters I’ve had, I am always, always amazed at just how incredibly fast they grow.

Charlie’s not impressed by all the cicadas.

Pumpernickel pie? My favorite!
The Hopalong Gang is 3 weeks old today, and this is what they look like now! (I tried to get pictures of their bodies so you can see their colors coming in – not the best pics because they are very wiggly.) Weight-wise, these guys are doing great – here’s a screenshot of their weight chart (ounces on top, grams on bottom – or you can see the chart itself here.) The average 3 week old kitten should weigh roughly 350 – 450 grams/ 12 – 16 oz, and as you can see even the smaller kittens are on the high side of average. They are VERY well-fed kittens; Meander is taking wonderful care of them.
As a reminder: Bolt, Dillydally and Lollygag are girls; Mosey, Skip and Skitter are boys. (I announced that a few days ago, I know not everyone has seen it.)

Wherein the kittens roll around on their backs and kick their feet in the air, Skip thinks about leaving the crate (and then thinks better of it), and I do a quick run-down of which kittens are girls, and which are boys in case you missed the announcement the other day.
Babka’s in charge of making sure there are no shenanigans on the stairs.

These kittens are VERY happy to have a daily nap time, as you can hear from the cacophony of purring. Occasionally someone has a complaint because there are 5 kittens and I only have 2 hands (and one of them is holding the phone), so they cry like their little heart is breaking until I pet them. It’s a rough life for these kittens, can’t you see?
Ooh, big stretch! (Dillydally)
Good night innernets. (Ciabatta)
