The Hopalongs turned 1 week old yesterday (see the collage below) and are doing well. Everyone is gaining, everyone is wiggly and nursing. And eyes are starting to open! In the next week, we’ll see open eyes on all of them (unless there are some slowpokes). I can’t wait to see those gorgeous blue eyes!

I got out the disk launcher (scroll to the very end of the video if you’re uninterested in watching kittens race around after plastic disks but want to know what a disk launcher is) and the kittens had a good time chasing after the disks. I thought for a moment that Pita might bring one back to me, but nope. Not yet!
The Hopalong Gang is 1 week old today, and this is how they’re looking. Eyes are starting to ease open – Bolt, Dillydally and Skip all have tiny little bits of eye showing. Will it be a slow process where eyes slowwwwly open, or will I walk in one morning to find they’ve all popped open? We’ll see! 👀

Breaking news: Skip’s got two open eyes! I guess he decided he had things to see. He’s one to watch, apparently.
