Guess who came for a visit?
That’s right, Uncle Charlie. And Pita wasn’t sure what to think.
Babka immediately donned her floof suit.
The kittens immediately started following Uncle Charlie around.
Uncle Charlie headed straight over to check out the slice o’ bread bed, which was next to the crate.
Charlie went into the crate to check it out, and Pita belatedly put on her floof suit.
The kittens gathered around the crate to watch Uncle Charlie.
“What’s he DOING in there?!”
“Just sitting and looking at us!”
“Weird.”
Then Uncle Charlie came out of the crate because he decided he was kitten’d out and wanted to go back downstairs. The kittens were AGHAST and APPALLED.
Crouton standing on a giant slice of bread wearing her floof suit. As you do.
Not sure what she thinks about that whole experience.
And then all the kittens spent the next two hours sniffing every single spot Charlie had touched, of course.

I’m sure it’s just the angle or the way he’s lying, but ol’ Skip Green Collar over there on the left looks like he has a huge head.
Skitter chortles at his own joke.

Alice Mo the calico sure does love that sunshine, yo.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Chatterbugs. (Left to right: Crouton, Ciabatta, Pita, Pumpernickel & Babka.)
I got ahead of myself over the weekend when I announced who was adoption pending. Here are the correct adoption pairs:
1. Crouton and Pumpernickel are being adopted together.
2. Babka and Ciabatta are being adopted together.
And Pita is still available for adoption.
No, we will not be pushing the adopters to take Pita as a third. We trust that adults know their own lives and their limits. Pita is such a confident little silly girl that I am not worried about her – as long as she has another kitten or young cat to play with, I am certain she will be fine. Their spay/neuters are 3 1/2 weeks away, so we have some time. I’ll be surprised if someone doesn’t apply to adopt her soon.
(Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire about Pita.)
Whilst Meander tends to her own cleanliness, let’s admire the way she’s got one foot propped on Dillydally (orange tabby) and her tail is curled around Skip (green collar.)

Dillydally: orange tabby
Lollygag: red collar
Mosey: no collar (darker cream color than the other siamese/white kittens)
Skip: green collar
Skitter: purple collar

A minute at the milk bar, and a halfhearted hiss from Bolt. This is the least hissy bunch of kittens I’ve had in FOREVER. Maybe they’re going to be a super chill bunch. Or maybe they’re just biding their time!
Pita wonders if you’ve heard that she’s (1) adorable (obviously), (2) your favorite (also obvious, as much as you’ve tried to deny it), (3) super duper playful, (4) likes to sit in your lap and be petted until she has to run off and do important Pita things, (5) available for adoption! If she sounds like your kinda gal, drop an email to Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
We are located in Huntsville, Alabama – out of area adoptions are allowed, but the adopter must come here to complete the adoption because the darn kitten delivery drone STILL isn’t working right. There must be a young kitty for her to play/snuggle with in her new home OR she must be adopted as a pair (her own siblings are spoken for, but Forgotten Felines can certainly hook you up with a second kitten if needed).

Join the Crumbs kittens for their nightly Churu time. I cut out the part where I screeched “WHO’S READY FOR A CHURUUUUUU!”, but did not cut out the part where I sang (if indeed you can call it singing) the “Who wants a Churu? You and you and you do!” song. My apologies to your ears.

I’m probably a little too proud of myself that I can name all six kittens without having to look at my list. But I can! (Sometimes.) Yay! Go, me!
Kittens at the milk bar: is there anything cuter? Nope.

Good night innernets. (The Hopalong Gang. Mama Meander looks super ticked off, but I assure you: that’s just her face. She was purring and making biscuits when I took this picture.)
