Is Floompy [Khal Drogo] very soft or is he more coarse? My brother has a cat who’s fur feels like steel wool, I swear. That would drive me crazy. My cat feels so silky, I love petting him.
He is very very soft and silky – especially when he’s just been brushed!

First things first: We have not yet received a single inquiry on Crumpet, and she is getting VERY tired of her kittens. So unless we get a serious inquiry/application in the next few days, she will be headed to Petsmart next week sometime.
Yes, I know none of us love to see her going to Petsmart. But she will get a lot more eyes on her at Petsmart, and perhaps her people aren’t really on social media? I don’t know. All I know is that if you’ve been dithering about applying to adopt her, it’s time to decide (well, okay, you could probably decide after she went to Petsmart, if we’re going to be technical about it.) Email Forgotten Felines of Huntsville at info (at) ffhsv.org to inquire.
(If you will recall, Crate Catsbys Daisy, Nick and Jay went to Petsmart last year. They were all adopted after a short stay there (Nick and Jay together, Daisy into a sweet family as an only kitty.) They all got their happy endings, even if they had to spend a little time at Petsmart first.)
Side note: Yes, she will take her green bean with her. She will remain a Forgotten Felines of Huntsville cat, and Forgotten Felines handles the adoption; Petsmart has no say in who does or does not adopt the cats in the cat room, they simply provide the space, litter, and food. The wonderful volunteers spend a lot of time and energy twice a day every day cleaning cages, playing with the cats, and giving them a lot of love, which I very much appreciate.
Crumpet is VERY annoyed with those kittens at this point, so people who insist that she “wants” to be adopted with a kitten just make me laugh. I do give her a few hours every day away from them, but she has to go into the foster room with them at night, and she’s not loving it.
Everyone loves the sunshine. (Crouton is not in this picture because she was in my lap.)
Crouton shows off her pretty eyes.
Pumpernickel loves that track toy.
Babka says “My ear feels funny.”

I swear to y’all, these cats who are not ours, who hang out on our front porch and in our garage, live a more pampered life than some house cats.
I bought that little couch at Aldi, and none of my SPOILED ROTTEN permanent residents were interested in it, and then Alice peed on it (she had a UTI several months ago), so I cleaned it up and put it in the garage, intending to figure out at some future date what I was going to do with it. And then Rocco and Trixie claimed it as their own. So I GUESS that couch lives in the garage now.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Pita’s all “Good MORNING, innernets!” She’s all teeth and whiskers.
Throw Back Thursday: in 2021, Canasta’s 6 kittens managed to shove themselves into the Toastycat bed and stayed there for a long nap.

I tossed some table tennis balls for the kittens, and they were FASCINATED (or at least mildly interested).
That is a fight-bitey pile o’ CUTE.

I was trying to take Crouton’s picture, and all I could hear from the couch (a few feet away) was Ciabatta and Babka chattering at me. (I’m going to try to get a longer chatterbug video, this one is way too short.)
When you’re just trying to chill out and have some quiet time on the Fancy Sofa, and this rude kitten just WALKS RIGHT OVER YOU like you’re not even there. Her face in that last picture clearly says “Where ARE my people, already?!”
Good night innernets. (Pita & Pumpernickel)
