She does not love kittens, if you wondered.
But kittens are always oh-so-fascinated by her.
The kittens have discovered Newt’s scratcher couch and they SWEAR to me that Uncle Newt said they could use it. Not sure I believe them, though.
I was just waiting for Louie to step on the button that starts the Roomba, but he never did (there was a toy behind the Roomba base that Dewey was trying to grab, and Louie was snoopervising.)
And of course, Khal’s playground is always the place to be.

Ciabatta, in the middle of the pile.
A sleepy Babka shows off her pretty pink toes.
Crumpet glances over to make sure the kittens are fine (they are.)
From left to right: Pumpernickel, Pita, and Babka (I think. Could be Ciabatta.)
“You again, lady?” says Crumpet.

I have no fresh Alice pictures to share with you, but she is present up there in the first section. And, of course, there’s this.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Line ’em up! Left to right: Huey, Dewey & Louie.
These boys are going Wednesday for their neuters, and then they’ll go home not next weekend, but the weekend after (their family is going on Spring Break next week, so they get to stay with us a bit longer.) Their new family has been to visit them four times (I think? Maybe five?) and were here yesterday to see them. On the first visit, the Ducklings were scared and hiding. They’ve warmed up a bit more with each visit. Yesterday’s was the best visit yet – there was tons of playing, lots of snuggling, and just all-around cuteness. (Also, Dewey showed off his litterbox skills, because why not?) They are going to have so much fun with these boys!
I put out the little litter boxes for the Crumbs Friday afternoon, and by Saturday evening they’d been used 3 or 4 times. And they’re only just now 4 weeks old! Little prodigies, is what they are. (Crouton and Babka are sharing the litter box in this picture, because sharing is caring and no one pees alone.)

The kittens are in and out of the crate, and Babka stomps right on over to climb into my lap.
(The tape you see on Ciabatta and Pita’s legs is because they have Swimmers Syndrome – their back legs splay to the side, making them look like little frogs – and the tape is basically like physical therapy to get them to use their legs correctly. They’ve been taped for a few days now, and it seems to be helping quite a bit. It isn’t holding them back one tiny bit, and hopefully they won’t need to be taped for too long – they can still walk, climb and tussle (as you can see) with their legs taped.)
Huey’s all “LADY. We is STARVIN’, and I am going to occupy this sink ’til you give us our canned food. Churu would also be an acceptable offering.”

Huey makes the leap (and once more, in slow motion!)
Louie gives me the Precious Moments eyes while he insists that Uncle Newt did say it was okay to use his favorite scratcher couch, no REALLY.
Good night innernets. (Pumpernickel)
