Is Charlie the new Sheriff in town?
He might be! He patrols the back yard, gives strange cats what-for, keeps an eye on us when we’re out there, and lets us know when things are amiss. So I guess there was some sort of promotion we never thought about ’til now!

Will you introduce the ducklings to the magnolias?
No. The Ducklings need to be isolated for at least 2 weeks, and by the time their 2 weeks is up, it’ll be time for the Magnolias to start heading home.

What do you use to wash the items that your cats pee on? I have anti-icky poo, but even after washing there can be a faint smell…I figure you’re an expert! Thanks.
If you mean laundry-wise (like clothes/bedding/blankets), I wash with Odor Mute powder, being sure to let it soak for about an hour before letting the wash cycle continue. If it’s floor/walls/toys that need cleaning, I use Nose Offense spray. I’ve used both of those for years and they work well for me (I especially like that Nose Offense is unscented.)

Did any of Charlie’s littermates end up as large as he is?
Charlie was actually not blood relation to any of the kittens he was fostered with – he was a single, rescued by Steve (who also found Ryder and her kittens.) However, I’m pretty sure there’s some genetic relation between Ryder’s kittens and Charlie’s mother because Charlie’s eyes remind me so much of Ryder’s kittens’ eyes, especially Axle’s. And as I understand it, Axel is a pretty big guy now!

Shelby still has her speckled white hairs. Do you see any change in the number of them yet? I’m wondering if she’s going to stay speckled.
I think they’re slowly going away, but she very well may end up permanently speckled!

How do you use the Synacore? Is it a general supplement, or just for tummy and poop upsets?
I use it as a general supplement – I add a packet to their food at one feeding per day. I like that it’s got prebiotics, probiotics, enzymes and vitamins all in one packet. And the kittens don’t mind the taste at all, which is even better!

Churu time, on top of my dresser (instead of the desk where they usually get it), because why not change things up? This picture was taken Tuesday evening.
The Churu is gone, now it’s time for cleanup.
Ouiser and Clairee are cracking me UP in this picture.
And this was Churu time Wednesday evening, the evening after their spay/neuters. They were all doing well, but were still experiencing a little post-surgery high.
Her FACE. “Hello darkness, my old friend….”
She managed to pull it together for a cutie-pie pose.
Yesterday morning, all the kittens were pretty close to 100%. They were eating, playing, racing around and having fun, then crashed for a long morning nap. It always amazes me how quickly they recover from surgery.

When I walked into the bathroom and saw this, I realized how Louie was getting into the tub. (Nothin’ gets by me!) So I moved the Litter Genie into the tub – not because there’s a huge problem with Louie hanging out in the tub, but that’s where I’ve been storing all the clean linen, the cleaning supplies, and other stuff and I could just imagine him jumping into the tub with Poopfoot and making a mess of the clean bedding.
And then Huey figured that he could just jump up to the edge of the tub and into the tub, and I guess I’ve been beat.
Which, of course, leaves Dewey all by himself (not that he looks too worried.) Clearly these guys need more room to run around and climb, so I’ll move them into my office this weekend.

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Happy Thlurrrpsday, from Drum atop the air purifier, because where else are you supposed to have your post-Churu thlurrrps?
Former foster! You remember Sakana (formerly M’Lynn), I know. Amy reports that “Sakana really needs to learn to relax.”
Such a rough life! (Thanks, Amy!)

It’s time to tussle, and Huey shows both Dewey and Louie just who the boss. They’re fierce little things!
Happy Thlurrrpsday from Dewey. Nice form, Dewey!

I’m having fun with the disc launcher and the kittens. (Note: this video was made on Tuesday, before the kittens went for their spay/neuter surgeries (which happened yesterday). I am trying to get them to take it easy today, and they are totally NOT, of course.)
Clairee is just chillin’ out and Shelby is all “EXCUSE ME WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING IN SHELBY’S TUNNEL?!”
