We’re at the time of year when the sun shines across my bed around mid-morning and then (from the other window in the room) around mid-afternoon. The kittens always love playing in the sun.
All eyes on me (or, more likely, the feather teaser I’m holding.)
Shelby’s like “What we lookin’ at, Drum?”

Huey is lying on a spring (you can just see the edge of it peeking out from under his ruff.)
Louie’s critiquing my petting technique.
I want to point out to y’all that Dewey has a tail light and it’s seriously cute.
Today I’m putting the cage away and letting these three have the free roam of the bathroom. They’ve been confined to the cage long enough, they’ve finished their round of meds, and I cannot stand trying to clean that cage for one more day (it takes up most of the space in the bathroom, and trying to get down and reach into the back of the cage to clean it is an exercise in frustration… and also probably a sign that I should start doing yoga!)

Posted on social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram/Tumblr) yesterday.
Turns out Louie’s a flirt. And yes, I did reach in there and rub that belly, and he gave me this look and said “You can do it again, if you want to.” (So I did.)
Former foster update for Sakana (previously M’Lynn). Amy says: “First off, I have been waiting to catch a picture of Sakana in the pie plate so I could officially say “Fish pie*! My favorite**!”. Today was the day!”
“Sakana is sweetly cuddling with the dogs frequently on these cold days. She is with them almost every morning when I come out of our room. She continues to be the sweetest girl. She wants to hang out with us and get all the pets. My girls keep commenting on how she just follows them around like a puppy and hasn’t scratched or even batted at anyone once. Truffles continues to want to be close to her, just not too close. She runs up to Sakana, then gets hissy. Sakana is like “girl, what is your problem?”. Today I caught a picture of them sitting very near each other. I was worried about them fighting over food, but Sakana is unperturbed. “
“Sakana continues to be a great addition to our family, esp on these cold days when a cat on the lap is required.”
*”Sakana” is Japanese for “fish.”
**Coincidentally MY favorite, too. What are the chances?
(Thanks Amy!)

The Ducklings are on the verge of deciding I’m not so bad, I think.
Someone gave us this bed, thinking that it was a good size for kittens, and naturally the kittens have ignored it for weeks. Then suddenly, Clairee has claimed it as her own. Doesn’t she look adorable, curled up on that Clairee-sized bed?

Ouiser and Shelby are playing, Drum’s having a snuggle with me, and Clairee is just chillin’.
From left to right: Dewey, Huey and Louie (who is calling me some very rude names in his head, I think.) I put them up on that shelf while I change out the bedding in their cage, and they just sit there and watch me ’til I’m done.
Sometimes nap time ends for me (’cause I’ve got stuff to do), but it continues for the kittens, and I’ve gotta be honest – I think it’s very rude that they nap without me. (Shelby’s thinking “You don’t snooze, you lose, lady.”) (Left to right: Ouiser, Shelby, Drum)
Good night innernets. (Drum & Ouiser)
